You will have to explain to me what "3rd Eye and the Village" means. I would name your artwork "Conflict". It makes us all think. I like that!

Solomon, I enjoyed seeing you tonight and I like your pocket. Your haircut is pretty cool too. Grandpa Lee.

Solomon, I'm very proud of you. You did a great job at following the feeling of Van Gogh's paintings. I've never seen a prettier picture done by a first grader.

Another good one Solomon! How did you choose the colors? What is it supposed to be? To me it looks like the screen on a color TV before it comes into focus. Or maybe it's a highway map where people take the yellow road to get to Kohler and the green road to get to Milwaukee. Let's talk about it.

Solomon, I wonder what you call this artwork. Some very famous artists paint like this. They just paint how they feel rather than the thing in front of them. There is an artist in Sheboygan named William Wiedner that creates this type of artwork. Very attractive! Grandpa Lee

Grandpa really likes this one. It reminds him of when he worked for the Water Resources Division . He used to walk into small streams with rocks on the bottom that looked like this. Then he would measure how much water was going by and how deep the water was. Sometimes we would try to measure the biology health of the stream by turning over rocks and looking for certain little creatures that lived there. Grandpa Lee

Solomon, I like your new artwork. It's a very special snowman with bunny ears. to get those bunny ears to stay on we will have to put sticks coming out to pack the snow around. We have plenty of snow at grandpa's house if you want to come over and try it. I am also pleased that you make a new artwork whenever the teacher asks you to. That means you like making art and can see good things in it. Just ask someday and grandpa will take you and a sister to an art museum where you can see where the best artists get to put their pictures. Grandpa Lee

Solomon, good job! I suggest a title for you "Spring flowers for you". Your use of color is beautiful.

Great job Solomon! Your cup looks like we could use it tomorrow, maybe on a camping trip. If you enjoyed making it, maybe you could make more and then sell them as your first job. You find the right mud and I'll buy the paint!

Good letters Solly! I might post these on the fridge so I don't forget them.

Good job Solly! I like how you make nice thick lines and then keep the colors of the hat and scarf inside them. Yet your background wind and snow are very fluid like the artist Matisse. Keep up the good work!

Solomon, I love this! So colorful! The man looks so real! Is he anybody I know? Maybe we could write a book about him.

Hi Solomon! I have a BIG SMILE on my face because the colors are so beautiful! And that big guy must be you waving at me. Great job!

I love your mouse project Solomon! It reminds me of the mice in my children's stories except yours are more colorful.
