Hi Annalise, Thank you for sharing with us your art work. I was not sure whether the architecture of the buildings and the road way are an expression of the luxurious items such as buildings and road ways at a time when Haiti lies in ruins and the roads are broken up. Good job. Love Opa xo

Hi Annalise, Another beautiful animal from Florida. At first when I looked at him/her it looked like a Christmas present wrapped up to be put in the mail. But when I looked again I could definitely see the hippopotamous. If you need some suggestions for your next art project the meteor shower would be great to put on canvas. There was quite a shower on December 13/14 but it was overcast. On December 14/15 I did see my first meteor when the sky was clear. I saw it after midnight. Love Oma & Opa xoxo

Hi Annalise, A very good replica of an alligator. Do you remember what they look like from your memory of them in Florida? He/she reminds me of seeing them when we visited your family. Keep up the good work. Love Oma & Opa xoxo

We go to the zoo all of the time and your sculpture is definitely a hippo. Good job.

Most creative. Either you grew or the bus shrank. And the rainbow does it indicate your wish. Well done. Love Oma

Hi Annalise, I love your VW bus. It looks just like the bus Oma's sister, Margaret and her husband Jan used to have. They would use it for camping. Only their color was green and beige. I love the colorful touch and a real picture of yourself with the sun glasses on. Real cool! Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! Cheers! Love Oma & Ope xoxo

I love your design. You had many different ideas and they are all unique!

Hi Annalise, Wow, that is uniquely differnt. Oma helped me understand the designs for positive & negative. Yes, if I would fold your art work from the top I would get a plain square. Am I on the right track? Thank you for sharing, Annalise. Love Oma &Opa x0xo

Hi Annalise, What a pleasant surprise to receive this very colorful piece of art. Good job, Annalise. The fish remind me of the fish in our pond. They are all beginning to wake up from hibernation this winter when we could not see them at all. We had the falls running all winter while the pond froze over. When we stand in front of the window upstairs in our bathroom we can see at least a dozen gold fish and a couple of sparkly grey ones. I am also reminded of some of the nature movies we watch on TV with scuba divers swimming and crawling over the ocean floor. There are many more ideas that come to my mind. Thank you for inspiring me to enjoy the fish all the more. Love Oma & Opa xoxo

Hi Annalise, The trees may look bare but it brings out a beauty of the silhouette that is often covered by the leaves. And with the snow on the ground it reminds me of the orchard by our house where you guys built a fort. A very real painting. love Oma & Opa

Wow ... good job. One of my favorite types of art is still life. Different shapes, overlapping, with shades and shadows. I did one in college just using charcoal. Keep up the good work! Love, Granddad

Beautiful job, Annalise. You have included interesting details in your art work, like the slippers under the bed, the oval mirror, and the clothesline of art work. You have an original bedroom. Keep up the amazing work. You are very talented, and I enjoy being able to see your beautiful work. Love, Aunt Pauline
