Dear Beatrix, This is a beautiful example of radial symmetry which is so balanced and pleasing to the eye. I love that you put a heart in the center, which is so you! It reminds me of the mandalas that your mom has made---ask her to show them to you.

I learned that the calavera or sugar skull is a way of celebrating the cycle of life and death by joyfully honoring deceased loved ones. Queeny would love this beautiful tribute to her. It is so thoughtful of you to make this memorial to your cat.

I am glad your teacher focused on Leonardo Da Vinci this month. Your furry interpretation of the Mona Lisa is so creative! I love the details of your creation-I'd love to know more about what inspired your "furry" drawing. Great work!

I was really surprised by this sculpture. The parts of it are so interesting - there are lines on one paper, circles on another, and triangles on yet another! The way it was put together took alot of work - building the sculpture in layers. Well done, Bea!

I love the colors on the butterfly's wings-red, orange, yellow and black! So carefully outlined and filled in! It took alot of patience and creativity to make this butterfly! I am glad it was the first to be alive and fly away!

I love the red panda's smile and the striped tail! The hearts remind me of how much Beatrix loves animals, especially red pandas, kittens and even koala bears. It looks like Bea used markers and crayons together-what a great idea! Thanks Bea!
