This is a wonderful work of art. The artist's happiness shines through in confident yellows and calming blues. The more I look at it, the more it draws out memories of my own childhood of going to school. We are the bag-swinging children, rushing down the long sidewalk in front of school. Suddenly we skid to a stop, stand still and stare at a small rolli-polli balled up on the curb. My friends and I think to ourselves, today is going to be a good day. We smile brightly, just like the girl in the drawing.
