Mira, Looking at this painting makes me feel happy. You have created a sense of activity and motion both with the background watercolor washes and with all the curvy lines and flying insects.

Mira, this is gorgeous. You present a curious contrast by having the background flush with color, leaving the flowers rendered by black and white lines, as if this kaleidoscope could not be contained by the boundaries of leaves and petals.

That's our girl-just add 'loved'!

Love this. It's almost eerie in the way the sky is dark and the pumpkins are cowering in the foreground

This is the coolest yet! Love Kandinsky and the color studies.

I can see Mira here trying to get away from representation and into pure mark-making, but feeling compelled to work within the bounds of seasonal thematic imagery. The green dot within a gray ring within the black blob really steals the show for me, not in the least perturbed by its shamrocky neighbor, and just daring that snowman to appear.

How did you know that green was my favorite color, and Ireland my favorite country? Great St. Patrick's Day theme!

the lively patterns bordering the square hint and the onion dome atop the building confirm that this pet store exists indeed in a fa- off land, to get to which you would have to fly, of course, and to go with such force the trees bend in your wake and the peaceful blue sky becomes a furious vortex of atoms.

I love the house because it’s my favorite color. If I saw this house I would fly to see it.

This shows a lot of love. Happy love

So if you could fly anywhere in the world, you would fly to a pet store and get another cat? I think that's a great idea!

This is my favorite piece you've made in art class

Time to do another portrait-with bangs! Your portrait is beautiful, and it shows how beautiful you are, inside and out.

This tree is fantastic-but it needs some water! Love how you took up the entire page!

This child looooooves boba!!

I was bitten by a tree once-very painful but not poisonous. I have not seen one with a eye before, but I will keep looking as I take my walks. Great job capturing this happy tree with all the teeth, Mira!

What a lively snowman! It looks like he's winking at me.

Mira, I enjoy all of the details in this portrait of your dad, from the plaid shirt to the cat playfully rearing up on it's hind feet to swat at the feather toy. It is a lively composition!

this pert cardinal leans forward in anticipation- of what? The artist prefers to keep us in suspense. We only know his next move is prefigured by the anonymous birds flying ahead of a pink horizon. Soon, our red-crested subject will appear as no more than two pen strokes in the distance; but at this moment he takes center stage and basks in the glory.

Mira, I enjoy the vivid colors in this collage. The birds are very animated. It looks like there are snow flurries and a bright blue sky. I wonder if you will show me how you created the birch bark?

I just love this piece. Your composition is wonderful and keeps your eye moving to take in the entire piece! I like the 2 different angles of the cardinals also. My favorite so far !!!!

Grandma Carpe will love this! She even got to meer Charley and his lovely wife Edie (also an artist and conservationist!).

Mira deftly demonstrates the concept of 3D rendering, but doesn't stop there. Her concatenation of bold, contrasting patterns clamors for attention and calling out the illusion. Like a Persian miniaturist, she puts the hierarchy of depth squarely in its place, which is clearly second to her delight in pattern.

I enjoy looking at all the details in your drawing. I would love to have a heart shaped knee patch on my jeans. The corn looks like it is stretching arms out just like the scarecrow. What a wonderful fall scene you have illustrated!

Love the plums!

I like this dinosaur a lot!

I'm not sure how those plans are supposed to get watered with that umbrella spread over them, but this is exactly the kind of tension I would expect to see in the sardonic illustrations of Mira TC. Human ingenuity interferes with the workings of nature in this wry commentary on patio politics. Mira has nailed it once again.

May I please have this?

This picture tells a story. You have animated the trees, what fun!

Mira, The colorful Kente cloth triangles make this a very lively composition. Your energetic use of blue and green chalk adds a feeling of motion.

I really like the use of bright colors, it's one of my favorites so far!

Mira, You really capture the beauty of a tree in winter. There is so much of a tree that is hidden once they have leafed out. I especially enjoy the way the snowflakes accumulate on the crooks of the branches. Thank you for sharing your work with me. Grandma Brenda

Unbelievable piece of artwork. This girl is really going places in the art world. I would pay top dollar for anything that she produced.

What a somber bear. He appears to have a lot on his mind!

Mira did a pencil study for this at home; I am impressed by the fidelity of the cut paper to her concept. The sparse-toothed smile at once joyous and menacing, this jack-o-lantern beams the magnanimous mischief we celebrate on Halloween.

Very, very scary! Keep going.

You folded your paper into a grid so you could try different combinations of color circles. They all have a black circle in the middle like the pupil in our eyes!

This beautiful rainbow must have taken a lot of time and concentration. I wonder how many dots there are in this rainbow?

This spider has colorful feet! I have been noticing lots of spiderwebs on my morning walks with Jenny. They look especially beautiful when there is dew on them.
