reminds me of tie-dye. I like how it is heart shaped instead of just boring old circles. I would like you to teach me how to do that.I love your art. love from, your sister Franny

This is a fascinating three-dimensional puzzle. What do we have here-- dragon scales and tube worms and something furry but mostly hidden? Will other viewers see something completely different? I expect so. Ricky

Heart-shaped leaves or leaf-shaped hearts? Ella knows but is not saying. She wants us to figure it out.

This beautiful and clever design would make an elegant statement as wallpaper for a sugar room.

Fabulous desert scene!

This work reminds me of our recent trip to Arizona for Crispin and Laney's wedding in Scottsdale. We visited a desert botanical garden and saw many cacti, including the saguaro which you have used to such good effect in your composition. The river (or irrigation canal) is a reminder of the crisis of diminishing water in the U.S. desert southwest. Good work!

This is an excellent rendering of the newest EV, the STP* Model One *Save the Planet

Is that a fox in the forest? An owl flying by? The forest holds many mysteries wonderfully enhanced by the artist's skill and nuance.

LOVE this one! So many textures in this beautiful forest.

Very nice owls! Last night, I was out walking Rita and I ran into Mimi Del Grande with her two little dogs. She was very worried about two owls currently residing in Creekside and she urged me to take a flashlight from her so that I could scare the owls if they tried to carry off Rita. I declined the flashlight and Rita and I made it home safely without seeing any owls. Life imitating art?

I would have recognized you immediately, even without the "Self Portrait" title. Nicely done!

"Sunset behind the Olympics" is another stunning landscape by this young and very talented Pacific Northwestern artist. Kudos!

Pointillism may have been your launching place, but you have arrived at a uniquely Ellaesque stylistic statement.

Beautiful colors and energetic marks. I see that Alma Thomas has inspired you!

Excellent work by an established landscape artist. You seem to be entering a Purple Period not unlike Picasso's Blue Period. Purple comes in many shades, and you are using them to good advantage.

Purple is one of my favorite colors & Ella is one of my favorite artists! Great work with shades of the same color.

Gurudatt Moher designed a flag for Mauritius using this same palette, but your design is superior.

I like this monochromatic work-- sort of a noir Valentine. Very nice composition!

I love the details of the sailboat in the foreground and the crane in the background.

Great perspective. Would like to see a companion piece showing Lisa Simpson's four-fingered hand.

Does the Christmas tree lot accept credit cards? Have all of the green trees been sold? Is the person in front of the tent a self-portrait? An art critic can find much to ponder.

Mounts St. Helen's and Rainier brilliantly incorporated into experimental complementary color work. Fine job!

So many colorful variants, so much mystery! "What next?" the artist seems to be asking.

A lofty tribute to our freeze-and-bug-damaged olive tree. He persists with your encouragement. Joyce Kilmer applauds.

C'est le printemps! Spring is here! A classic image of flowers and their colorful pollinators. Well done, jeune artiste!

An interesting take on the venerable biplane as it makes its way against a stunning sunset. Bravo!

If Grandma Moses had flirted with the abstract, this is how it would have looked! A revelation!

Flowers or whirligigs-- I feel their exuberant motion.

This work embodies the mystery of the Orient. Are those volcanoes? Is that a flame tree? Only the artist really knows. Good job! Ricky

Lovely colors and sublime composition. Less is more.

Lovely work, Ella. You are working in your mother's palette and your grandmother's favorite medium.
