Dear Connor, I am looking at your artwork and am admiring the balance of shape and color, and also the direction that you have established. I am not sure what the assignment was but the things I mentioned were well done. I would imagine that the assignment was an abstract one, using geometric shapes and lines which you have used so well. This is a well thought out piece of artwork and is very nice to look at. You do this well.

Dear Connor, You have this perspective thing down pat! Lots of older students don’t understand it as well as you do. Good job on your colors also. You love those bright colors, don’t you. Thanks for sending me your artwork.

Dear Connor, This must be the first yarn painting you have ever made! I think that is a steak. Isn’t that your favorite food? The colors are so bright and complimentary to each other. Also, I am impressed that you used perspective and shadow. I know this was not easy to do, but you did a great job of applying the yarn. I enjoy seeing your artwork. Keep it coming.

Hi Conner, School is out but maybe you will get this comment anyway. I am so happy that you made a print! I still have the print you made at my house on my press this past February, and I look forward to making more prints with you soon. I know Andy Warhol's work and I liked his repeated prints like yours in different color. This is a fine print. If you have another of these prints I would like to have it in my "Connor" Collection. You are a good artist and I love you and your artwork very much.

Dear Connor, This is the first self-portrait of yours I have ever seen. You captured your face, especially your handsome blue eyes. AndI love the detail in your shirt; how you portrayed the stitching on the shoulder. Very good observation. You are an excellent observer. Nice portrait.

Dear Connor, I am so glad to see your artwork again. I see you were trying to do some pointillism. You did a good job, especially in the yellow-orange area. I just saw some of Seurat's paintings at the National Gallery in Washington D.C. Wish you could see them someday, too. His brush strokes look very much like yours. Good job.

Dear Connor, I forgot t write a comment about this painting. Your tall flowers are very realistic. With your paint brush, you have shown how the petals slope downward, and the variety of ways leaves attach to the tall stems. I think this is a splendid example of your critical observation of nature. In there words, you have done a good job a looking at what you are painting, and trying to depict it as it actually looks. Connor, I forgot to comments on this drawing, too. You accurately drew a glue container, pencils and scissors. You certainly have a good eye for seeing and drawing what you see. That is so great!. You have such detail, such as the ribbing on the glue top and the writing in the pencil. I am impressed.

Connor, I forgot to comment on this artwork. It looks like primary colors (red, yellow, blue) in a Mondrian structure. Good observation of Mondrian. You have very nice straight black lines. Very attractive!

Hi Connor! I am so glad to see your mandala artwork! Concentric circles are hard to make, but you did a fine job of it. I also like your color choices, especially the greens. Puff paint! I have never used that. It sound like fun. GOOD JOB. keep tht artwork coming.

Dear Connor, I see you are learning about your state. That is a very accurate map of Tennessee and the state flag. Is that the state insect? A ladybug? You have made it look so real! I like the way it lives off the picture. Good work! And all are accurate!

Hi Connor, I am looking at your water lily artwork. It looks so good---a lily pad in the water and a water lily on top in 3D. You did a beautiful piece of art. I am working on lily pads and water lilies myself. I go to the lily pond as often as I can, and I can see that your rendition reminds me so much of the lily pond in summer. I know Monet's artwork. I have seen his lily pond paintings in the museums and in books. They are so beautiful as is yours. Keep doing good artwork! Love you!

Hi Connor! I am writing to tell you how much I like your new artwork. This is what I like about it. The pumpkin is beautiful and it sits solidly on the ground. I love the sky and the sun placed high in the sky. And I love the way you used the whole paper for your artwork. You are really good at this!

You had to create a foreground, a middle ground and a background in collage, and you did that! Good job! My favorite part is the the white and yellow building on the right. I really like that! Dear Connor, This lovely flower is so different from your red painting. You have really looked at this flower in order to paint it. You have the detail just right with the leaf growing from the stem like the flower. You are really good at details. This flower makes me think that Spring is coming!
