This is a very interesting piece, Abigail. And you made it by creating a print! That's amazing. Was it messy making this print? Did you get any ink on your hands or clothes? The United States Postal Service (the post office) is responsible for delivering mail and packages to our homes six days a week, and they are always looking for new ideas for stamps. I wonder if they would be interested in your stamp design? I'd love to see it on letters delivered to our house.

Your teacher said that you could decide what animals to put in your painting, and what the background should look like. I think you made some very interesting choices. Looks like a couple of polar bears, a seal and maybe a whale. And that water looks very cold to me. I know that I couldn't live in it. It must have taken thousands of years for all of the Arctic animals to adjust to living in such cold conditions. The colors you used are very appropriate for that cold climate......dark and gray. I hope that you enjoyed doing this painting, and thinking about how you wanted it to look. As always, I think that you did an excellent job. Keep up the good work!

Abigail! I love your wolf! The detail on the wolf's face is amazing. I don't know if this is the Big Bad Wolf from "Little Red Riding Hood" or from the Three Little Pigs", or if it's a much friendlier wolf. Regardless of which particular wolf it is, you've done a great job of painting its picture. I don't know if a wolf has ever worn a sweater, but I'm sure that any wolf would like to wear the sweater in your painting. Beautiful colors and designs. I know that it will keep the wolf nice and warm. You did a great job on this project, Abigail. I'm so very proud of you!

Great Pumpkin, Abigail! I particularly like the long swirl you added for the stem. And you used perfect orange coloring for the body of the pumpkin, and just the right amount of light green coloring at the base of the stem. It looks exactly like a pumpkin. In fact, I thought that it was a nicely-frosted pumpkin cupcake when I first saw it. Almost good enough to eat! But, no, we won't do that. Was this hard to do?

I love this ceramic heart, Abigail! In fact, I saw the hearts that all of your classmates did, and I think they are all awesome. The little coils that are inside the heart are perfectly made, and are so colorful. I'm sure that this was a fun project for you and your classmates. I wish that I had the skill to do something like this but, sadly, I don't. I'm glad that you can do it, though, because each time I see one of your projects, it makes me smile!

Great job on these leaf rubbings, Abigail! They are very clear and colorful. I hope that you enjoyed doing this piece. Do you know what type of leaves you used? How did they feel when you were touching them? Did one type of leaf feel different from another, or did they all fee the same? Remember this particular piece of art the next time you jump into a pile of leaves!

This is a very interesting piece, Abigail. I couldn't count all of the polka dots you used, there are so many of them. I understand that you and your classmates were creating something in the style of a "pumpkin painting". That's very appropriate for this time of year, isn't it? I have to say that, when I first looked at it, I thought the piece in the center is a turtle. Then I thought maybe a flower. But I guess it can be anything that the person looking at it wants it to be. You did a very nice job with this, as you do with all of your art work!

Abigail.......I LOVE your flower! I read that you and your classmates used water and markers to make your flowers. Was that easy to do or hard? You used so many different colors in your drawing, and they blend together so well. In the background, it looks like the sun is coming out after a rainstorm. The rain and the sun will help your flower grow. Very nicely done!

Abigail.......I love this. It's so bright and colorful.I can't tell how big (tall) it is, but if it's big enough it would be a great place to keep pens and pencils. And if it's not tall enough to hold them, we can put paperclips in it. They would never fall out because the sides are high enough to keep them all inside. I hope that you had fun making this. I'm looking forward to having you show it to me.

Great job on your snowman, Abigail. With the dark background, it looks like it's a cold, blustery winter day, but it looks like there's a smile on the snowman's face. I'm glad that he's happy. And is that a Christmas star in the upper right corner of the picture you made? That would be perfect, seeing it shining through the darkness of the day to tell us that Christmas is coming.
