Lovely, Kayla! Your first round flat piece (I think). Can you see the beautiful you in there? Everything around the circle looks connected by the jiggly lines.

Obviously, this cat is in a good home, a warm fire, a comfy chair, lots of color, surrounded by love. Maybe add a little cat food and a few toys and she has all cat would want or need, Lucky cat!

That dog looks like it is friends with the cat! Is he hiding?

Such a colorful cat, with so many patterns & stripes. I'd like to cozy up by this cat near the fire, and find out what she is up to!

Wonderful texture! There is a little story there I'd like to hear.

Really cool cat, Kayla! I think he's wearing a great sweater too. Tell me more about it sometime.

There’s so much happening in this picture- lots of activity and full of life, just like the artist.

Fall is my favorite time of the year and this art piece shows a good reason why-beautiful colors, and a quiet setting. Looking at this picture, I can almost hear the fallen leaves crunching beneath my feet and hear the call of geese heading south for the winter.

This is a beautiful way to remember the Arch, and I love that you included the windows at the top, where we looked down! Wonderful memories.

This is such a beautiful self-portrait, filled with lots of energy, and style. What is she looking at that makes her smile?

What a beautiful array of fall colors. I love the reflections of the trees in the water. It feels very peaceful.

The St. Louis Arch plus the playground, the birds and the “quiet” blue water seems to me that you have some really good memories of your summer vacation Kayla. I am so glad that you are able to use your art to help express thoughts and feelings. Love you!

I love the way you drew some memories from this past summer. I bet you won’t remember those times a long time!

Lovely, Kayla! I will enjoy hearing your feelings about these colors around your name. So well done.

Such a delicious RED, Kayla! I can almost taste it. I have the oil painted version you did here in my studio. It was still wet when you left yesterday so it will be dry when I see you next time. :)

Strong, beautiful colors in time for spring!

Wow Kayla, you certainly created a very bright, lively village! It would be so much fun to live in your lively village with all the colors and activity all around. I am always thankful for your creativity and how you’re able to share it with the rest of us.

I love the colors you used in the alphabet soup! Who is coming to dinner with you? I'd love to be a guest! Love, Mom

Wow Kayla-love the colors!

Maybe sometime you could tell me about the lucky money pouch-sounds like it could be a great story! I’m always impressed with your gentle touch when you’re creating your art pieces. They help me remember the gentle places I’ve seen and look back on. I hope you enjoy creating as much as I enjoy seeing it. Gran

This looks like a castle in a faraway land. I love the colorful castle, and the stars in the sky. The fish is cute too!

I love the peaceful snow. The 2 snowmen seem like they are friends, and someone really special must have made them.
Posted 4 years ago by Rebecca (Mother)
I wish I was there to make a snowman with real snow with you!
Posted 4 years ago by John
I love the rolling lines and colored shapes so generously surrounded by stars...even the snowman..and little fish! Soft and winter-y.
Posted 4 years ago by John
I love the “gentle” colors in this piece Kayla. It reminds me of a beautiful night to take a walk in the snow and to stop and appreciate all the blessings that surround us.

The color variety is delightful! My eye just keeps wandering up and down enjoying it.

This rain drop sure is compassionate towards people who don’t have very much. Love the colors too!

I bet these jack-o-lanterns have something to say. What do you think they are saying in this dark night lit by great stars and crescent moon?
Posted 5 years ago by Grandpa Mix
Beautiful, I can see how some of the colors stand up from the surface, a real 3 dimensional piece, up/down, front to back, and sideways. Great idea using simple paper! On Sunday I saw how you made your own paper "computer." It's the only one in town...just like YOU!

Love this, Kayla. Glad you left the white spaces. Sometimes less is more.
Posted 5 years ago by Alison
I bet it was fun to do. I like the difference in the black lines as well as the balance of colors.

This is such a beautiful piece-live all the bright colors! ??Gran
