Rose, We're so glad to see your first painting from first grade. The background is so colorful. Was it hard to decide on the red, orange and pink colors behind the sunflowers?

Dear Rose, Both Darrel and I absolutely LOVE your butterfly! Being in Costa Rica we have seen some very lovely ones in all colors and shapes. The colors you used and sense of being suspended in the air give a true sense of flight. Great job! See you in the Spring, when maybe, if we are lucky, we'll see some butterflies in your garden. Oh yeah, I love the dinner picture! People could have it printed on invitations for parties and dinners. That's what I'd do if it was my painting. Brainstorm: Can I use it on a card even if it isn't my painting? Your name would be on it, of course, as the artist. I won't mind if you say "no." It will just mean that I'll have to make my own dinner painting!
