Great composition and choice of colors, Rylan. I’ll ask your mom and dad to give me a t-shirt with this art for my birthday this summer. Love, Grandpa

Hi Rylan, This comment is from Gram. Your drawing shows various colors of green with a moving and fluid background. I see your art as a deep green ocean with swirls of movement and activity in lighter green colors. There are also smaller dark objects like fish moving in the swirls. This artwork has color, action and life to it. Well done! XO Gram

Dear Rylan, Your artwork is always so interesting! I can imagine that you are drawing images of outer space and perhaps images of planets floating in the universe! As ever, your details are creative and colorful. Well done! XO GRAM

Rylan, Good art work!...the drawing has a lovely blue background and a star with a gingerbread man next to a really clever drawing of a woman with a flower face and a tree body wearing a purple skirt. Well done! XOXOXO Gram

To my Grandson Rylan, Your drawing of "Sculpture in the City" is really terrific! It shows the diversity of the buildings in the city...some low, some high, all clustered together. I am imagining the deep blue might be water and the green sculpture was placed on high so it could easily be viewed by others from a distance. I will be returning from Mexico in a month and hope to see more of your art work. xo Gram

Rylan, your latest artwork is certainly unique. The eyes of the yellow object appear to be wondering exactly what is happening. Is that a smile on its face? And is the pencil connected to the yellow object in order to steer it in the right direction? Or is the yellow base stabilized by the pencil? Only the creator of this intriguing art work knows!!! Hi Rylan, Your most recent drawing of a landscape showed a large area in black and white. A long fence bordered the area depicted in the drawing and there may have been a water feature behind the fence. A tree was prominent in the drawing and a colorful insert was added to the tree. I like your drawing very much....continue with your artwork!! xo Gram

Rylan, Your latest artwork is just great! The concept of floating, flying amoeba like objects with personalities is very creative. The expressions on their faces is wonderful...from delighted, to grumpy, to happy....each one has a unique personality. And you chose colors for each that matched the expression - brown for grumpy, orange for delight etc. Very well done! Love, Gram

Dear Rylan, Your latest art work is terrific! The round shapes are very appealing, the colors are strong, and the division between the black background and the blue/gray background attracts the eye. Well done! Lots of love, Gram

Hi Rylan, This mask looks like a contented cat to me. I am very glad it is a mask and not a real cat! You know that I really like dogs....how about a dog mask? Love, GRAM

For Rylan Your latest art work is strong and colorful! You chose a background of black and white stripes that is very effective with the strong red and blue in the foreground. You will have to tell me if the red and blue are "hanging on the line" or if you had something else in mind. Well done! Gram

Rylan drew a frisky critter who may be able to be in motion due to a sail for a tail. Or perhaps it is a flag for a tail. The critter has very skinny legs, but many of them. And a curious look on his face. An unusual critter, and a very interesting one.... Love, Gram

Hi Rylan, I just read that alebrijes are fantastical creatures and your creature is very creative. I love the bands of color in the tail and the colors you’ve chosen, especially the bright yellow. Great work!! Love, Grandpa

To Rylan from Gram What a clever drawing you made! The expression on your character's face is really interesting. As is the way you drew the nose, eyes and ears within a square head. Purple is one of my favorite colors and your purple border stands out. Well done grandson! xo

Rylan's choice of colors (red and green) is vibrant and strong. His background motif is fluid with red curving lines on white. And while I am not sure whether his subjects are leaves or creatures or something altogether different, they are eye catching. Bravo Rylan!!! Love, Gram
