Immediately, I admired your pastel color selection for the mandala for its expression of warmth and calmness. I am even more impressed since you told me that you made the mandala by folding the paper into eighths and replicating your own unique design in each segment. I mistakenly thought that your art teacher gave your class the figure to color. Leah, you created a beautiful and original work of art!

You continue to teach me new things. Thanks! I had never heard of Sugar Skulls before your artwork. Now I know they are used for Day of the Dead or Día de los Muertos. Absolutely love the puffy clouds you use to represent the eyebrows and the rainbow that connects them.

A very colorful scene. I really like it. It could be a VanGogh!

Your art project inspired me to research 3F Heather Galler Landscapes since they were not familiar to me. After watching a YouTube video, I realized what a GREAT job you did following her guidelines of a horizontal line with vertical lines beneath it to the barn with silo and the rainbow sun. And each space has its own color and pattern. Thanks for the art lesson!

Your crystallized glitter snowflakes are so inviting that I can almost feel one on my tongue; love the purple and green striped scarf that blends with the sweater!

Nice job selecting warm and cool watercolor paints, cutting the strips of paper, and weaving them into the finished artwork. It reminds me of the pot holder kit that I got as a young girl one Christmas. My mom bought extra bags of loops for me so I could use the frame to make colorful pot holders for all of my aunts. Taking the loops off of the frame and weaving them into finished edges was the most satisfying part and started my passion for crafting.

Once I read the teacher's title for your art project, I understood everything about your "Snowman from Above." Since he is looking up, we are looking down at his face and can see the larger snowball that is his body and the scarf that is wrapped around his neck and hanging down. You did an outstanding job creating him from such an unusual perspective!

What a colorful work of art! But which is your favorite? It used to be yellow so I don't know which one it is now.

Nice work. It reminds me of the book The Day The Crayons Quit. Have you read it or heard it ?
