I missed this one from last year. I like the variety of colors used. Your creativity in the design of each structure displays a lot of thought, with each being very unique. The variations provide opportunity to think about each structure, how it was constructed and what it may represent. Fun to view!

Good for you on experimenting and making things work. I like your clay mints too! Did you get to play tic tac toe with it?

Lillian — I would imagine there were many steps and maybe even more than one class time to complete this balloon project. You know I’m a fan of polka dots! Collaboration with a partner takes planning, coordination and maybe even a little compromise. I hope you had fun.

Lillian — this is a really fun piece, trying to put shape and color to people’s emotions. I would enjoy hearing more about how you approached this art project. Fun and colorful.

Lillian — you are learning and trying your hand of some of the more difficult artistic perspectives — depth! Where does your road lead, somewhere fun?

Papa's curious about what the colors represents, and the handles and the spots.

I love the texture you gave the elephant, I can almost feel the rough skin. The elephant details are great as well, eye, tusks and ear. Nice work.

Very imaginative art piece, it’s not easy to make a varied and realistic piece using one color tone. Very effective presentation.

Lovely, very bright.

Your view of the mountains is wonderful! Nana and Papa will be traveling by train through the mountains of western Canada later this year. I see cacti in your drawing, so maybe you will see mountains and desert the next time you visit the southwest!

Your picture makes me think of Arizona . . . they don’t have a lot of water, but they do have lots of red rock and beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Remember the pool at the house we stayed at in Sedona! Nana Anne
