One minute I perceive I am looking through a kaleidoscope. The next minute I think I am watching something descending. Then I think I might be watching something ascending! Could I shimmy down one of the six brush-like streamers to the center of the bottom surface? Or could it be a cat or dog wearing a tasseled saddle? Great optical illusion and textures, Lucas!

Lucas, you've blended all the bright pink, blue, ink, yellow and orange colors plus the mandala tile theme of my deck this 2025 season in your choices! I am saving up for a round basic plate so I will enjoy the watercolor floral impression and your creativity year-round in the catio until I can use it on the deck.

Grandma loves the color combinations that mimic natures beautiful flighty butterflies. Great job, Lucas !!

Ooh Lucas, this butterfly looks like stained glass! It also reminds me of atomic silk fabric. I feel like I am looking into a butterfly portal beckoning me inside. The coloring is crisp, imaginative, and intricate. I am waiting for it to flutter off my screen—an impressive effort that shows patience and focus. I'll imagine it visiting my deck flowers this year, and I'll think of you every time.

Creating this close-cropped flower artwork inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe shows sophistication, Lucas, especially with your fine detailed strokes, color blending, and outlines. I am reminded of my pleasure in gazing at my deck railing flowers. O'Keeffe said: “When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not.” Thank you, Lucas, for your flower gift.

Oooh Lucas I went to see a jellyfish exhibit at the aquarium a couple of years ago. They are amazing creatures and you have captured their beauty with your choice of watercolors! It looks as if it is pausing to pose for you in the water (or watching what you are doing). The shading is sophisticated. Thanks for sharing. Great job, Lucas!

I feel like I am snorkeling and viewing a variety of colorful jewel-tone sea creatures close and far, even those hiding behind the fishes, in a multidimensional scene with shells and detailed marina fauna and floral. Great effort Lucas depicting lots of movement too!

This heart beats for love in many layers Lucas! I feel its movement through your choice of deep and light colors, fluid transitions of the shapes and smaller hearts within others. I heart it and you!

Ooh Lucas I love your bold strokes of complementary colors that make me sense their texture against the orange-yellow of the wide-eyed bird's bill. I can imagine a story about the bird too just by looking.

So colorful and your choices Lucas truly show how why the bugs are flying so close to the hungry disguised chameleon. Great job!

What detail and use of color and shading Lucas! I am impressed. Famous artists eventually do self portraits but I wonder whether they painted any at your age!?
