Merry Christmas Eva! I hear you have snow up in Iowa! I just saw your Symmetry artwork-I actually remember doing something like this when I was in school. Our paper was black and then we scratched off the black folded paper. Is that how you created your piece? I love all the different colors! We used to fold paper in fourths and make snowflakes with scissors too, which is fun. Hope Santa brings you lots of presents-I know you’ve been good this year right?!!? Love you Eva!

Hi Eva-I am sending you this message from Beijing, China! We are on a cruise from China to Japan and come home after Thanksgiving. I just saw your artwork and it looks like Llama Llama to me. I hope it sees the spider hanging above its head and around! I like how you framed your artwork and the way you created depth like a real frame is really great! Happy Thanksgiving Eva! We love you!

Eva-love your Zoom artwork! It’s so modern and the black and white dotted background really makes the red lettering stand out. Lastly, the random shape of the piece on the yellow paper makes it look like a poster. COOL!!!!!!! Love and miss you!

What a cute snow globe drawing Eva! Everyone looks like they’re having so much fun inside of your globe-even the dog! When I made the image larger to get a closer look at all of your details inside the globe, I could see the glittery snowflakes that you created too. Really fun and creative Eva-great job! It’s obvious how much you enjoy art AND snow! Love and miss you- Nana and Papa

Hi Eva-love your colorful mask! You did a great job keep both sides of the mask the same too! We saw many masks when we went to Africa a few years ago-lots of different shapes, sizes, and colors. By the looks of all your projects, I think you are having lots of fun and a great year in art class! Love you!

Hi Eva-it looks like you are working with metal now. I remember doing metal tooling when I was in grade school…a LONG time ago!! I love how you made the metal shades of pink for Valentine’s Day and the hearts too. Very nice! We love you!

Hi Eva-it looks like you are doing pottery now by modeling pieces of clay together. I bet you rolled the top piece to make it rounded and smooth. It’s interesting to see how your piece turns out after glazing it, isn’t it? Art is so fun!?? I’m glad you had a fun Christmas-maybe you’ll get some snow soon!!! Love you Eva!

Mmmmm…. your “cup of hot cocoa” looks yummy Eva! I like how you added the marshmallows and made it look warm with billows of steam coming out of it-it’s been chilly in Iowa, so I bet that would taste great on a cold day! I love the colors and the patterns in your cup and in the background too! What a great job on this project Eva! Love to you and Merry Christmas!

Hi Eva-what a fun art piece! I see that your project was “Symmetrical warm-cool bugs”. I love the shades of blues and greens that you used. Also the background design is so interesting -it almost looks like it is stitching. You have such a great artistic imagination Eva! I bet your weather in Iowa is starting to feel like fall and the leaves are changing colors-I miss that down here in Florida! We love you-keep up the good work!

Hi Eva-We absolutely love your underwater self portrait! I think it’s your best art piece yet! It’s so neat how you made your hair going up since you are going underwater. The way you made your lips closed tight and your cheeks also shows that you are holding your breath while going under-very clever! Then to top it off the bubbles around you and rainbow design with “I Love You” is so pretty and colorful. Excellent job Eva- you really put a lot of thought and creativity into you art piece! We love and miss you!

Hi Eva-it looks like you’re doing clay pottery now. It’s fun molding things and I bet it was fun creating your snowman. I especially like the red pom-pom on your snowman’s hat! I bet you can make a real snowman up in Iowa now since you probably have snow on the ground. We can only make sand snowmen in Florida! Love and miss you Eva!

Hi Eva-I enjoyed seeing your new art project. Neat that you used different shapes to create what looks to me like maybe a robot. Sometimes if you look around a room, it’s amazing how many different shapes you can see! It sounds like it is getting chillier up in Iowa and maybe you’ll even get some snow soon… then you can make a snowman with some circle shapes ??! We love and miss you Eva!

This artwork piece is so neat Eva! I love the bubblegum pink color with the black body and outlines around it. The dimension of your outlines almost makes the body appear like it’s falling downward. Really cool! Love you! Nana and Papa

Hi Eva-You sure had fun in art class this year… I can’t believe you are graduating from kindergarten soon! Your artwork makes me think of ants having a summer picnic… I think they are really after the pickle in the bottom corner. That’s what Nana’s eyes see in your artwork… am I close? It has been fun to see all your projects this year-I can’t wait to see what you create in art class next school year! Love and miss you!

Very neat Eva! It sort of looks like a giant centipede is about to climb a sideways ladder to get away from a crocodile who is sneaking around in a muddy bank of a river. :)
