Well this is a very pretty three dimensional butterfly. I really like the pink paint with violet dots down the back. As usual very nice work Ella

Ella, it does look like a heart person raising an arm heart hand to fly a big, beautiful, colorful scarf or flag to wave in the air.Is the darker purple an animal or butterfly? The colors match what the heart person is wearing. Tell us what you were thinking when you made this picture.

Ella, nice work. Colorful butterfly. You have been very observant so you could make dimensional body parts. Keep being an observer of the world around you to look for details in what you see and hear.

This heart is beautiful. The stitching around it adds such a nice touch. You are doing some wonderful things in art. I think you know making art is one of my favorite things in life. Weezie

Hi Ella I like this artwork very much. It is so colorful and the orange square in the middle is great. It looks like you had to cut out many different color little squares and then arrange them in a circular fashion on paper. Keep up the good work! Love Weezie

You created a fancy "BullsEye" look with your colorful circles. It makes it more obvious to see the center with the dark around the bright center and the bright yellow ring draws your attention into the center.

Ella, you like to draw hearts. This one looks like it is part of a quilt patch. Very colorful!. You need to tell us about it.

Hi Ella Well this is a very interesting art work. I see the hearts and the beautiful and vibrant colors of deep red and violet. It almost looks like a girl in a colorful blouse in the left hand part of the picture could be flying a big kite( which is the large shape in red and violet). I always enjoy seeing your work!

Ella, That is a very fancy crown and a colorful picture! I like seeing the details of the face. You have eyes, eyelashes, eyebrows, nose, and very red lips. She has a lot of hair. Great to see you are becoming more aware of facial features. Thanks for sharing your work.

I love the emotion and variety on your cityscape!

Hi Ella I like your new castle drawing very much. I especially like the yellow castle color against the blue sky. Your birds are also a nice touch. They could be seen as very surreal flying turtles! Overall great job. Keep up your good work in art. I hope first grade is going well so far. Love you.

I just saw your turtle for the first time this morning. It is really great. I like the use of a variety of colors for the shell and the use of yellow for the head. Did you make the shape of the turtle out of paper machai or some type of paper clay? I think the texture on the shell is also very effective. Keep up the good work! Artwork is one of my very favorite things.

This new picture informed by a cityscape is very interesting. I see where you have at least three tall buildings that have very nice different colors. It looks like at the top of one building a little kitty cat is looking out the window. The other building looks like it has a face all of its own. Is it a mad or sad face? Maybe the building is scared because it is sooooo tall! Anyhow, as usual I love to see your artwork. Job well done Ella!

This turtle is very pretty.

Hi Ella, I really like your green caterpillar. I like that you made the legs, head and antennas a different color from the body. Also your caterpillar has a very expressive face. The other colors around it on your paper add a nice touch to the background. Keep up the good work!

This picture is very colorful and pretty, but why does the caterpillar look so sad?

This has a stained glass look.

Ella I think you really got the idea of Picasso's work. He would draw the same face or person from the front view as well as the side view all in one drawing. You nailed it! Also like your background colors and your painting techniques.

Ella I love the bird you made to contribute to the bird mural. I think is quite cool and inventive that you made a bird with a drawing of a smiling cat on it. Maybe in real life a bird would be scared to see a cat? I like your colors and the nice work you did on the birds face.
