A mysterious underground city. When I was your age, I used to draw underground cities, and even maps of make pretend countries, with roads, mountains, rivers and cities. You have a great imagination, William!

Looks like someone got a match point. Nice drawing of a grass court, William. Is this at Wimbledon (the world's most famous grass court). I hope you are enjoying your tennis games!

That's a lot of dots, William. Each yellow dot is so well painted! And the lightening strike is quite dramatic.

William! Nice work. You know what a lava lamp is? They were very popular back in the olden days, when PopPop was known as "Kenny". They are still around, so maybe you have seen one. I really like the colors, and the shapes!!

A crafty costume of tiger pants, sky blue shirt with a cloud collar and his head up high in the sky. Where is he going, William? Somewhere out of this world, I would guess...

Panama is a country in Central America, home of many nice sea turtles, octopi and the Panama Canal. The folks there have long produced Mola art, and now you are producing Mola art. Are you Panamanian? A beautiful ocean mola, William!!

William - you have drawn another striking and compelling piece of art (you can look up striking and compelling, and while you are at it, look up captivating, moving and serendipity). Thank you for sharing, and keep up the great work!

Green energy, green computer, green water tower. I believe you are telling me about the Emerald City on The Wizard of Oz! Tell me more, please! (That is my favorite movie)

Wow, Willilam - So many interesting things that you created in this one artwork!! The snake-like critters, the beetle, the sun, the dark space, and is that a rhino with spots on the bottom of the drawing poking out of the frame? Thank you for sharing. You are amazing.

Edvard Munch became famous as a painter with his painting "The Scream". He was from Norway. You can read all about the painting on Wikipedia. Munch created a number of artworks with paint or pastels. Now William Fautsch has started his own series of "Screams". I am impressed by your interpretation. Wonderful work, William!

Oh, yes!! The birds are cheering, the sun is shining, the sky is the bluest blue, and William is happily enjoying a "nise" time relaxing in his lounger and expressing gratitude for the goodness of it all! Such a cheerful drawing from an amazing young man.

Wow, William. This looks like a kaleidoscope image. Have I ever shown you my small kaleidoscope collection? Next time you come up to Ames, I will spend some time with you to see which one you like the best. Thanks for sharing your imagination and creativity with us!!

Good to have spare time, William. This looks like a quilt to me, with a very interesting border of squares, each of which is an artwork in itself. Are you lying on a bed, or are you bouncing off the trampoline? And on the bottom, is that a computer with eyes, or a pile of books?

I enjoy seeing your creations, William. I enjoyed working with clay as a young man. It is soft and cool to work with. And coloring it with the glaze is a thrill. What will you put inside of it?

From the land of the Baobab tree, on the island of Socotra (look these up on Wikipedia!!) comes Dr. Seuss in the mind and hand of William the artist. A volcano with a blue waterfall and a pool beneath, and, wait!! Are those truffula fruits for the brown barbaloots. And oh, how I like to see how you paint a SUNNY DAY!! HOORAY!!!

Hi William! This art reminds me so much of my job teaching writing. Or of writing itself. The focus on the page and the beginnings of creation. It’s a lot like art!

It's crawling in the grass on a sunny day. Four legs. Red club tail. Maybe a periscope on the end, looking forward and backward. Smiling with a red face and blonde hair. It's a four-legged, periscoped, red-faced, smiling gurfusaurus!! Very rare, indeed. I so enjoy your drawings, William. You are the best!
