When the picture of this artwork first opened up, I thought I might be looking at a portrait of your mom wearing her black-framed glasses. Then I noticed the title indicated it's a self-portrait -- and that made sense to me, as I see a lot of your mom in you. The eye are astonishingly captivating. I almost can't look away from them. They have so much depth and draw me right in, as if inviting me to come closer and understand the thoughts going on behind those lovely, intense eyes. Such a deeply meaningful work for such a young artist. You certainly are wise beyond your years. It's one of the things I appreciate about you! This is WONDERFUL! I love the use of dots/spots for the shading! It must have taken you loads of time to make all of them -- and so worth the effort! This poor guy has such a melancholy expression on his face, and I wonder if he is a reflection of your own feelings at the time you brought him to life.
