Mondrian!! I love this. But it’s looser, not as serious. Plus the layering feels so much more interesting and curious than Mondrian. Brava. This is so cool.

Marley— this is my absolute favorite work of yours I’ve seen. So expressive! And strong! Is she the queen of hearts? And angry?! Or mad? Or just strong. There is so much to explore you will need to tell me more about what you were thinking and feeling when you made this. How incredible. also is this mixed media? I love her buttons and also the flower print on the background looks like a fun spin on a classical wallpaper.

Marley, I love your duck! Is it called a mallard? The border you painted is so cool and reminds me of vintage ceramics. I can show you a picture of what I’m talking about. Grandpa is going to want to hang this at the lake house!!!!

Marley, I love this painting! Did you use pastel? (I love pastels!!!) I love the colors you chose for this sky. And I think its so cool how you used blue and dark purple in the clouds. It reminds me of driving to the beach on long island in the summertime.
