There are days that I believe we look just like your strawman! It is nice that you gave this scarecrow a smile and a happy appearance. That way, the person can enjoy the day in the field, soaking up the sun or blocking the rain. It looks like the eyes show the crow scarer noted something of interest; it must be a happy find!

You've just created Christmas! We have hoped for a Holiday theme during November from your art! We can print Artsonia cards with your decorated tree to send to our friends and family. Thank you for your imagination and a Christmas tree that looks good enough to eat.

Haley, I love how you captured your shapes and colors. The facial drawing is distinct with the eyes, nose and tongue coming together. I love your creative combinations! I’m

Haley, This monster looks like a giant candy corn! Love the color variation, the pointed fangs, the expressive eye looking above.
- LeeLee on December 6, 2023
What a monster idea! Very creative in designing and painting a unique figure. Is this a throwback to the historic song "one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater"? Maybe a combo with Humpty-Dumpty sitting on a wall? No matter, this monster is original, and that's what counts.

A cat this happy, as the smile and festive background show, confirms the feline must have a great name. We wonder if "Bubba" would be an excellent choice to name this piece of artwork.
- Granddad and Grammy on September 27, 2023
Haley, Is this Bubba? Similar but not exactly. I like a happy cat and the long curvy tail.
- LeeLee on September 27, 2023

Well I've heard of the Big Red Dog but now I have been introduced to the Big Blue Dog! Love your detail on the nose, paws and ears. Keep up your creativity.
- LeeLee on September 27, 2023
So, this blue dog is sad because blue represents sadness. Blue represents royalty, too, and so may Bluey--a name for our canine?--occupies a throne with this demanding look. A dog sitting like Bluey with stout legs commanding attention might be handling a complex problem with a mix of melancholy and intensity. Such are the demands of the aristocracy. Thus, we may assume this is a typical look for Bluey captured with your imagination.
- Granddad and Grammy on September 27, 2023
Love your artistic capabilities Haley!

A beautiful night with stars covered by smoke from one home's fireplace, a cloud showing as a yellow tint over a star, and all in a deep blue sky, a more interesting night sky color than black. Must have good street lights as the red and brown of the homes brighten the painting. It's too bad the painting is not turned to show properly by Artsonia. However, the action in the community is shown by her imagination.
- Granddad and Grammy on September 12, 2023

Haley, Pablo Picasso would envy your vision in the painting "Don't Let Pigeon Drive the Bus." Your bird's blue color expresses the disappointment in NOT driving the bus. The pigeon lets everyone know her frustration with that wide-opened beak cooing their "grunting" sound. She sees herself as royalty, meaning getting whatever she wishes, with your purple background. The gold-yellow reminds an observer of the bus, while the pink signifies this is a female. The rust orange? Well, it says, better not aggravate this girly dove.

Haley, I'm so late commenting but how fun that you decided that your first piece of art would be your school! I especially love the bell in the center. Keep your wonderful drawings coming.
- LeeLee on September 12, 2023
We enjoyed Haley's use of color in this work of art. The combination of the brick red and the shades of blue shows a good touch. The willingness to take risks shows how Haley expands her horizon from the norm, pushing new thoughts (in color) on the canvas. We like how she snuck in "eyes" of the building in the form of the doors and door handles, seemingly looking for the students that will fill the school. B. E. S will be proud of this concept for their school building.

This lioness has an opinion, and we suggest all should pay attention to it. If the mouth was closed, it seems as if this could be the most gentle animal ever. Maybe some of the characteristics of the artist filtered into the painting?
- Grammy and Granddad on September 12, 2023

This looks like someone has been in Florida! The colors, the pointed scales on the back, those teeth sharp and ready to eat, and the mix of colors make a festive beast. Plus, all of these features point to a star alligator. Look at those eyes, signaling some mischief coming up soon. Such a creative creature, coming out of the swamps to get some attention, and this 'gator deserves it.
- Grammy and Granddad on September 12, 2023

Haley: What detail you have shown in the eyes and teeth. He is either really mad or very hungry! Love the colors you chose for the background.
- Leelee on May 2, 2023

Your yellow and black rings, and the mix of sizes of those rings, create an interest that draws one to look closer at this flyer. The white wings show the bee's buzz as those wings propel it to the flower's goal—such a beautiful start to the wonderful season of warm outdoors, your art highlighting the bee.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023

A wonderful brightener to summer: your fireflies (or what may be called lightning bugs). The portrayal of their flying in a jar replicates what we did as kids . . . catch 'em, put them in a jar, and enjoy the random flashing of light. We also like the colors you chose representing darkness, i.e. blue, black, and violet, giving a thoughtful background to the flash of light the lightning bugs generate. Said another way, Haley's art brightens the night.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023
Haley strives to bring out the best in her interpretation of her subject. Always amazed at her insights.

Love your Easter bunny. Wish I could see it a little better close up. Can't tell if it is a cut out or drawn or painted. The ears stands out with the wide face and small eyes. What a delight you have made my day.
- LeeLee on May 2, 2023

Such a cool egghead! Your novel curves on the head give that oval impression, now perfect timing for the upcoming Easter celebration and egg hunts. Along with that, the bright, interesting colors like shades of yellow, blue, green, with some browns, too, give it a Picasso look. With those creative and imaginative sizes of facial features, Haley, you show new ideas using Picasso's technique.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023

So much fun looking at this robot person, all square but ready to go. Face forward, feet backward, she's a happy mess who appears to let nothing get in her way. At times we all seem to feel this way. That you could express that in art is, well, fantastic.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023

Oh, Haley, you knocked the ball out of the park, as the saying goes, with this rendition of a heart. A golden heart at that. The background color really magnifies the effect of the heart on a viewer. Simple but complex. This is one of your smartest pieces of art thus far.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023

Haley, such a cute penguin who must love living in their favorite cold, snowy environment, at least for some of them. You did a good job highlighting the penguin's coat while getting that beak and feet to stand out. The background looks cold . . . perfect for this season of the year.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023
Haley, I love your penguin and the great view of the Antarctic coast. I am somewhat cold just looking at this great scene but such detail you have given to this little fellow. I see icecaps and glaciers and snowflakes above.
- LeeLee on May 2, 2023

You've again shown optimism in your work! The yellow-tan doggie looks to the sky and sees a rainbow, always a beautiful look, and colored clouds that, among other things, look like birds and butterflies. We can't explain why, but the dog subject of your art seems to be smiling while looking up. Perhaps there's rain in those darker skies, or maybe it's the tongue that dogs will display at times, or perhaps some teeth, but it doesn't matter: it looks like a smile and a happy pet. Haley, happiness is a nice trait to display.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023

Nice going, Haley! You imagined a star-studded sky with a dominant green star . . . a Christmas tree! It's like giving our atmosphere a way to celebrate the holiday. We also compliment you on having the green tree contrasting against your sky and other objects in space; it seems so natural.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023

It took some time to understand this painting, but when we did, all we could think to say? "Haley, you know how to present fresh ideas uniquely." What we suggest the painting shows leads to the realization that the object projecting from the head represents an idea that is breaking loose of the mind, seeking its own limits. If it was terrible, why would the character be smiling? Or even happy as ever, if not more so? The reason happens to be that the projectile is probably one of many ideas that escape your head. And they just keep coming. That you are able to dream this plus create forward-thinking is so good. Keep it up, sweetheart. From Grammy and Granddad.
- Granddad on May 2, 2023
This is a very happy snowman. Appears that you have captured a side view with the big, wide eyes and smile facing forward and the long carrot nose pointing in the opposite direction along with the blue scarf blowing in the wind. Did his hat blow off? Love your creativity!
- LeeLee on May 2, 2023

Haley, Love the expressive eye shot looking up at the beautiful colors in your rainbow. There is so much expression in this drawing.

Haley I love your creative shapes and the different color schemes you have used. Keep your imagination working.

The crown has thrown me off. Grady and I are discussing this unique animal with the heavy eyelids. Love the distinction you have given to features.
- Leelee on May 2, 2023

Ohhhh, a green monster! Call him Frankenstein in green! Stitches on his neck and face, a bolt holding it all together on the neck, that crazy hairstyle of the original Frankenstein . . . you nailed it, Haley. Scary but with the smile and teeth, kind of happy to be around . . . thanks to you.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023

Never a happier Sloth than yours! Just to be painted by you, Haley's artwork, would make any person or animal happy. And the Sloth gets to look cool, smooth, fancy with the eyelashes and with those eyes covered all dreamy like . . . and a smile, too! The crown is deserved; it represents an achievement by you, Haley, to imagine this little critter who is known to be slow and deliberate but appears here all cheerful and busy, busy, busy. You made the Sloth's day . . . and ours, too.
- Grammy and Granddad on May 2, 2023

Love this friendly ghost with a big smile.

Such a great take on Halloween! Not only a bat flying, but the witch's hat also flies, perhaps with a little witch inside? That's a mystery in your art, a good indication of your ability to think up imaginative scenes and bring them to the canvas. Your pumpkin fits the scene, too, with its large stalk showing the pumpkin is the real deal and will grow more. And are those green curly-ques in the sky, or perhaps they're coming out of the pumpkin just in time for Halloween? We've heard of a blue moon but never have seen or been treated to a green/yellow one like yours. That's special.
- Granddad and Grammy on October 12, 2022

This canvas immediately became a favorite of ours, Haley. We both are thrilled with your choice of a violet shade for your animal. And the fun for your viewers continues when deciding: is this a pig or a cow; maybe a sheep? We have differing opinions. Really, does it matter since the painting's mystery emerges from that question. Your art allows us to use our own imagination while taking in your artwork. And makes it special.
- Granddad and Grammy on October 12, 2022

Love the variation of colors and patterns you have used and how very well you have written your name.

Haley, this palm tree brings wonderful memories back to Grammy and Granddad. When your mother was about the age of 3 or so, we had a home in Florida close to the ocean and sand. In our front lawn stood a big palm tree like yours, even curved like yours. Once, a man stopped by and wanted to buy it and was willing to pay a lot for it. But, it was our tree and we loved it so we wouldn’t sell it. Instead we enjoyed the coconuts and the coconut milk the tree produced. All that enjoyment was remembered by viewing your painting. Thank you, From Grammy and Granddad

Haley, What a joy that you are back in art class and I have the benefit of viewing all of your artwork. Love the big smile and the full set of white teeth!
- LeeLee on September 21, 2022

Now this animal really brightens the day! Your green-faced pet has all those rainbow colors, which really draws attention. Maybe trying to see all her colors gives this animal--perhaps a cat?--cause to spin her eyes so they could show looking high and low. This would be loved by Dolly Parton, who wrote a song about a coat she had with many colors called "Coat of Many Colors." Mail her a copy of this art; she'd love to see your version of her song.
- Granddad and Grammy on September 21, 2022

Way to go, Haley. This looks just like what Grammy and Granddad felt starting a new school year when we were your age. The pink cheeks really stand out because of the contrast with the browns, blues, and black colors in your art. You show in art a remarkable ability to express emotion and feelings. We are excited to see more.
- Granddad and Grammy on September 21, 2022

A crawler wearing a coat of many colors! Such a beautiful selection of colors. Love the eyes, too; never can look in too many directions like these up-and-down eyes.

How could I have missed this smiley face! Love the big happy face.
- LeeLee on May 1, 2022

Haley, Love your creativity with eyes, colors and shape. I'm having to give this one special attention as I'm trying to determine what is growing from the body. Can't wait to ask you as I know you will tell me.
- LeeLee on May 1, 2022

Such a heartfelt heart, Haley. All these pastel colors and differing splotches make for an entertaining picture. This art loves variety and many looks, just like you. Love, Grammy and Grandad
- Granddad and Grammy on May 1, 2022

What a bug, Haley! The red with black polka dots is highlighted by your green, smiling, happy-faced bug. It is so creative that you went against using more red and black for the face, rather having the lime color stand out while making the smiling bug happier. Way to go, Ms. Artist. Love, Grammy and Grandad
- Granddad and Grammy on May 1, 2022

Haley, Really enjoyed the colors you chose for the face and the dimple, a bluish triangle underneath the smile, really adds character to the image. Very thoughtful and creative. Love, Grammy and Grandad
- Granddad and Grammy on May 1, 2022

Oh, Haley, this is so creative. Love those eyelids and the stare coming from both indicating both suspicion (right eye as we look at the picture) and wide-eyed surprise from the left. The use of multicolors indicates a host of choices for this character. And you thought it all up. Bravo! Grammy and Grandad

I love your smiley face, especially the big smile across the face. What a bright spot in my day and on this very beautiful day. Looks like you drew the bright yellow sun behind your picture. Keep your artwork coming.
- LeeLee on May 1, 2022

A Happy Lady Bug indeed. Love the red with black spots, the feet on the move and the eyes seem to be watching something of interest. Wonder what it might be? Perhaps something to eat.
- LeeLee on May 1, 2022

Haley: What bright, brilliant colors you have chosen for your heart. I love how you ventured off from the traditional red and used such an array of colors. You have used your imagination and mixed so many colors to create new ones.

Haley: What a colorful bright, happy monkey! You captured the eyes so perfectly and the curly tail. I love the big smile and open arms. You've made my day!!!!

Haley: I am just now viewing your giraffe up close. It looks similar to the one that was at Smith's birthday party. Love the horns, the wide eyes that appear to be looking directly at me. The yellow and brown make him or her stand out so! It looks better than my giraffe. Keep your wonderful art coming!
- LeeLee on January 31, 2022

Haley, You make terrific eyes. They're not just there looking forward, but like here, looking down. That makes us want to guess what this character is looking at, and why the crazy smile and pink cheeks. That makes art fun, and you are creating it. Love you, Grammy and Grandad.
- Grammy & Grandad on January 25, 2022

We didn't get a chance to comment on your Great Pumpkin when it was first released. We really enjoy all that's going on behind the happy pumpkin person, like fireworks in the sky and birds that look almost like hearts and plenty of green to intrigue us all. This is super! Love, Grammy and Granddad
- Grammy & Grandad on January 25, 2022

Haley, we love your colors! The yellow and blue contrast so well together. The brown patches are intriguing, bringing some mystery to your artwork. They could be arms, legs, natural, unnatural, but certainly makes one think! That's great art that can make others think. Keep it going, love, Grammy and Grandad
- Grammy & Grandad on January 25, 2022

Haley, It looks like this snowman is ready to start skipping down the street and singing just as Frosty does in the movie. I especially love the long carrot nose and the smile. Keep your creativity coming!
- Leelee on January 25, 2022

Without question, Haley, this is the cutest Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer ever. The eyes seem to show Rudolph looking down like from a rooftop where he spends a lot of time on Christmas night helping Santa Claus deliver presents to good little boys and girls like you and Smith! And that nose can certainly shine up the night with light. His antlers seem to be perfect for a flying reindeer to stay in contact with airport flight controls. We don't want any airplanes getting in the way of Santa delivering toys and goodies on Christmas night! Merry Christmas, Haley!
- Grammy & Grandad on December 8, 2021
This is a very red nose reindeer and what a great job with the antlers.
- LeeLee on December 8, 2021

Disney would love to have this character in their lineup. Minnie Mouse could have a big pet for herself. This dog wouldn't hurt a flea, much less a mouse.
- Grammy & Grandad on December 8, 2021

Probably the prettiest arrangement of flower yet. And, the way you display them on a tall pedestal helps emphasize their command of colors. And yours! The blue sky fits it perfectly, too.

The singer Prince (from Minnesota) would say about this, "Let's go crazy" and have fun fun fun. Nice going, girl!

Haley: I hope you got your postcard. Keep up the wonderful drawings.
- Leelee on October 30, 2021
Haley, your creative interpretation of the Big Red Dog shows a new level of artistry for you with those subtle details you chose to include. The blue-collar with the yellow ID hanging off really catches one's eye. That is a very nice touch. And with Big Red's tongue, a cute feature, one sees a friendly pet. Further, we like the way Red's head tilts in an admiring way, reflecting joy and happiness. Those big eyes seem to see everything just like you do. Keep on using your imagination . . . .
