Victoria! This almost makes me look forward to winter! It also reminded me of the line “for purple mountain majesties” from Katherine Lee Bates’ song “America the Beautiful,” which she wrote when she was up on Pike’s Peak in the Mountains in Colorado!

This owl is amazing, Victoria! I love how it is at a slant, or a diagonal line. The triangle shapes on the head really look like layers of feathers! You used a variety of colors but repeated the colors in eye-catching ways. The detailed tree branches really add to the composition. It’s also cool how the stars match a real night sky— some are bright, some faint, some large, some small!

Victoria! The bottom half of your painting is so soothing. I love how the greens,blues, whites, and yellows blend to create different hues and values. I am mesmerized by the detail and design in the top half of your painting! It reminds me of parts of the painting "The Tree of Life" by Gustav Klimt. I can't wait to see what else you will create!
