Hi Russell, When I looked at this interesting piece "castle and sun," I thought maybe I had seen another artist who worked with cut out shapes. I looked it up and found that Henri Matisse who was producing important art about 70 years ago also made beautiful pieces with cut out shapes. I bet if you ask Uncle Ben and Aunt Suzanne about Matisse (when you see them at Thanksgiving) you can learn even more.

Hi Russell, I think this might be one of my favorites of your art pieces. I especially like the various shades of red and orange. I think I might see both an apple and a pear. Am i right about that? I am really happy that I get to see some of your artwork on the Artsonia page. Thank you!

Each leaf may have lots of different colors and patterns. The one you have drawn here is especially interesting. I think I might see some grass or water or clouds in the background. Do I?
