Three mountain peaks? Perfect, reminds me of sunset over Gore Mountain Range in Vail, Colorado, including interesting bridge or trail in lower bottom. Using artist Jen Aranyi as inspiration is a great idea! She is inspired by nature and uses mixtures of watercolor, oil and ink .... fun!

I was delighted to see the variety of Harrison's art projects. In particular, Harrison's grade 3 tiki batik "Skol Mn" head is very interesting. The actual batik stamping or waxing & dying of the material is very complicated & time-consuming. Hmmm...I know grade 3, but is that head starting to look a bit like J.J. McCarthy? Skol Mn!

Yes, I know it's an existing drawing which Harrison then colored. However, the actual painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring" is probably the most famous painting by Johannes Vermeer ... and Mr. Vermeer's paintings are a mystery! There is a movie "Tim's Vermeer" which tries to explain how Mr. Vermeer may have been able to capture such natural light in his paintings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPL7D0Ha1kQ. You can decide whether the "Girl with a Pearl Earring" actually had green skin!
