Best Thanksgiving card I ever got! It’s funny, and shows the best things about this day. Like watching the parade with you!!

I like this one! Looks like it would take a long time to do — each individual piece. But worth it!

I really like this one! Even though it’s dark! Looks hard to do, but the same time, simple and effective.

Love the geometric elements of the fox's face and the way he seems to be hugging the planet :).

Sort of Edward Gorey-ish, nice!

This one is probably my favorite of this group. So melancholy and beautiful with that eye on the right.

Liked your heart! Thought about buying a t-shirt, but then I’d REALLY look like a gramma. ??

This is a neat project, with so many possibilities. I’d love for you to try a couple more, and maybe think of a composition in which the viewer has to think a moment before his or her brain catches on to what the image is. Then, the ah-ha moment!

Edward Gorey influenced?

This new self portrait shines another small light for me on how you like to portray yourself. I’m always surprised. As you’re learning new techniques in self-portraiture, pay attention to the ones you like best and why that is so. That will give you the power to express yourself closest to the way you choose.

Looks like you’re learning a lot of new techniques to keep in your toolbox, and that is an excellent resource for an artist. I, personally, can’t do stuff like this, so I’m impressed that you can. Maybe you can teach me the technique?

Very cool! Is there a significance to your choice of dictionary page or just random?
Posted 4 years ago by Rachel

Wow! Love it!

I love that you’re learning how to do this. This is one of my favorite ways to make a digital painting—take an existing photo and use paint tools to alter it. So many things you can do with this kind of work, and it’s really fun, too. I’m excited to see how you develop this skill!

The data you is very complex — I like it!

This one is absolutely stunning. I’ve never seen a place I’d rather visit or be. A new favorite.

This one looks very retro to me! One of my favorites.
Posted 4 years ago by Ardith

It’s finished! Looks great. Kind of dark and moody. I like it.
Posted 4 years ago by Ardith

Super emotional and eerie! It definitely tells a story that I want to know more about. I’d love to know who these characters are, and what has happened or is about to happen. Lots of mystery with the apartment numbers, I like them. Also, great job on the shadows and perspective lines. It feels like a real space!

This one is so cool! Something very pleasing about spheres. And the way the colors/shades transition (I'm sure Sarah knows a better term for this) is amazing!

I like the white outline. I think it gives it depth.
Posted 4 years ago by Rachel

I love the color contrasts in this one!

GREAT animation! I love these.
Posted 4 years ago by Ardith

This might be my favorite for so far! And I know you were trying to remove the white outline, but it looks like it’s supposed to be there. I like it.
Posted 4 years ago by Ardith

This is brilliant! Very funny, and very well done.
Posted 4 years ago by Ardith

Wow, you never showed this one to me! I love it! I can see it as a large scale wall mural or something, nice work!
Posted 4 years ago by Sarah (Mother)

I love this piece because it is so sophisticated in its restraint of color and form. The effect is calming to the mind and pleasing to the eye.
Posted 4 years ago by Sarah (Mother)

I really like the thought behind this, and the way you blended history and art. Alfred the Great being the king who fought to unite England in the 9th Century, and the current monarch, Queen Elizabeth. I also think it’s interesting to see the Queen with a beard, because it speaks to gender roles that are an important topic in our times. Good work!

Oooh! I love the motion in this one, and the juxtaposition of photographic/realistic elements with a painted/dreamlike space.

I love this new one, especially the words you chose. Great message, and so true.
