Brielle - I love this. The viewer is first drawn in by the way the eyes are looking out, creating an emotive mood. Then the patchwork compositional arrangement of color shape and form for the body drawers the viewer in weather curved tail bringing the viewer back around again. Bravo wonderful!

I wanted to post some additional comments. The word I would use to describe this is mysterious. Is that a lady with an umbrella or is it a road traveling past a house and a sunrise? Is that a boy wearing a yellow shirt peeking over the horizon line? There are so many possibilities. So fun.

I missed the teachers description of the assignment here but without knowing anything about it I love it. I'm drawn into other mysterious other worlds and the use of color and composition brings you around the the picture beautifully. I especially like the horizontal division and how you used yellow so effectively. Looking back at your younger years' artwork the growth in sophistication is quite extraordinary. I look forward to seeing more of your work this year.

Whoa Brielle - some really neat things going on here. You did a great job showing an overlapped snowman. I particularly love the background line of rolling snow hills and the sun setting, partly obscured by those snowhills. Thumbs up!
