You have definitely accomplished a mood from your portrait as well which is truly impressive. The soulful gaze slightly off center, the mouth framing what is possibly a whimsical musing all draw us into your moody reverie, inviting the viewer to linger. Bravo!

Interesting work Gavin. You have effectively drawn the eye around and through the composition with bold shapes directing movement out and back in again. And engaged the viewer in puzzling out what the shapes are.

Your use of form, space and color show a sophisticated world. Intriguing, inviting + expansionistic.

Wow this looks like a photograph. Very impressive. And the composition is very sophisticated.

I can't enlarge this enough to see all of the details clearly but this could be published as an illustration in a book.

You always use the rectangular space beautifully, keeping the viewer's eye moving around the subject. Love this technique and the drama of it all.

Very neat! That must not have been easy. I particularly like the different color eyebrows. The colors work so well. Purple and yellow, opposites on the color wheel and the yellow and orange next to each other. Very striking.

Wonderful! Love it! Especially the hard edges in contrast with the soft edge swirls. Looking forward to your work this year.

Gavin, you not only are developing as a technicaly gifted artist, but you also have the most important element of being an artist in being able to connect with the viewer emotionally. In all your work you have something to say and it is exciting to connect with that.
