I really love the focus on nature and the way y’all arranged the photos creating a balance of nature that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Your teamwork is evident in your final piece - you collaborative efforts created a beautiful art piece. Thank you for sharing your love of art and creative energy with the viewer. Love you Alana and the artist within!

Thank you Alana for continued awareness and calling attention to sexism. Your art speaks well of your research and understanding of a society problem to keep women in chains. May you continue to grow with confidence, creativity, and your love for all. I’m proud of you and love you always, Grandma

Alana I’m so glad you had fun with the process. It sounds like a lot of work and attention to detail. Love the bright color and design. What a great inspiration and memory for you. I hope your high school has something like artsonia - I love seeing your creations and making comments to support you. It was interesting to read your comments about the piece and know that it helps you embody your excitement for high school. I would not have understood the insight about peace and glad it expresses a sense of peace for you. Great detail work! Love, Grandma

Interesting connections that we experience in life’s journey. I’m glad you have such a good memory of your trip. The cactus ?? looks almost real because of the way you used variegated colors and the dots. Great work Alana. Love you always, Grandma

This is both engaging and inspiring, Alana, I’m not a fan of skeleton art but when I started looking at it more closely, I realized that there was greater depth to your understanding of the skeleton. Your wisdom about beauty through the use of your art needs to be shared throughout the world. I hope you are able to hold that wisdom in your heart especially through high school and college. Both Grandpa and I continue to be amazed at your skill as an artist but more importantly your wisdom and insights as a person. With our love and admiration, Grandma

I am incredibly impressed with both the final piece and your artist statement. I love your work and the way you expressed yourself, the time spent on the words and the beauty you expressed, both insight and out.

Alana, this shows your growth as an artist and as a person this past year. The colors compliment one another and I recognized it as a tree immediately. It is a celebration of who you are and your Bat Mitzvah! I also enjoy the texture you created with the glass pieces and the background. Congratulations! I admire your creativity and love you very much! Grandma ??

Alana it’s great to see that you have expanded your portfolio and medium with Loom! Your color scheme and the way you designed it works extremely well and screams Southwest!! I think it will look great framed and hanging in Grandma and Grandpa’s home! ?? Congratulations on learning a new medium and doing it so well! Love you! ??

Alana - you’ve got talent!! This is elegant with the detail in the silhouette. The background colors compliment the overall feeling of the art work. Your piece reminds me a little of the rise in Beauty and the Beast. This piece should be framed! Mmmm - grandma would love to do that for you ??. Beautiful art!

This is beautiful. It very much looks like the pier at White Rock Lake. I love you. One of the most difficult things in life is moving and you have transitioned remarkably well. I am proud of you.

Love the use of geometric designs with the strong impact of the black and white theme. Willis is adorable as a unicorn using pastel colors - what a surprise! I like the brick pattern and the combination of the different patterns all coming together to form Willis’ Wonderland. Creative genius at work! One of my favorite pieces Alana! Great work!
