Love these good strong colors and the textures in this weaving. I especially love the warp and weft pieces at the edges - very modern looking! ?

This piece seems very powerful! The plane on top of the flag is startling and I love the way you used positive and negative space with the Air Force insignia.

There is so much detail in this picture! The flowers look very realistic, even in black and white. And I love the graceful curve you given to their stems. I also love your graceful signature coming up the side of the vase - very creative!

Hi Amaya - I think shading is the hardest part! And you've done a very good job of making things look 3-dimensional with your shading. I'm interested to see the different ways you draw in order to create that effect --lines, dots, squiggles. Maybe you can give me a lesson sometime ;-)

I love the different shapes, textures and shading, kiddo! Nice work!! :-)

I love these faces!! Each one is so unique, completely different from the others; and you’ve drawn each emotion so incredibly well! The eyes and mouth show so much, and I really love the details of costume as well as facial expression. ????

The faces on your character are so expressive! The eyes and mouths especially show just what the character is feeling. Awesome job, Amaya!

In this picture you somehow look so much older! I guess it must be the way you've drawn your long legs. I can see you as a teenager!

You've used my favorite colors in this one, Amaya! Red, orange, yellow --all hot, summer colors. I love the horizontal lines contrasting with the vertical line and the sun burst right in the center -- really creative use of color and shape, I think.

This is a great picture, Amaya. It looks just the way you look all summer long, wearing your shorts and shirt in the sun. I like the way you drew the aura around the sun!

Hi Amaya - This picture really makes me smile! I love seeing you and your dad and your mom, of course; and I laughed out loud when I saw one of your cats climbing up something --a wall? a tree? Just like those silly kitties! Charley looks just like Charley, happy as usual. Are those birds carrying hearts and a star? Very smiley picture, Amaya. Love you!

I like how balanced and symmetrical this drawing is! Each side looks just like the other, like mirror images. The shapes are very careful and precise and I love how you worked in some soft and wavy lines for contrast. You’re such a talented artist, Amaya!

I was so lucky to see this in person when I picked you up from school! I really like the way you've used different colors and textures --they are so different but they all go together so well. I also love how straight and tight the paper weaving is contrasted to the wavy, softer flow of the yarn. Another beautiful piece, Amaya!

This picture surprised me! The mountains and clouds look so majestic and breathtaking. I was thinking of the phrase "purple mountains' majesty" from the song America the Beautiful. And then I saw this smiling little tiny mountain creature in the corner! I love it!

This giraffe is really, really tall!! Look how long her legs and her neck are! And the elephants, far away, look so small. I love the colors in the sky and all the grass with some flowers. Another beautiful piece of art, Amaya! You are an artist!

I really love this artwork, Amaya! The different colors of blue in the sky look so real to me and somehow I get the feeling of the wind blowing! The colors you used for the mountains are just beautiful - it's exactly how the mountains look late in the afternoon! I wish I lived in that pretty house and had a snail coming over for a visit. I especially love the warm colors you've chosen for the sun - it looks warm and inviting and makes me dream of summer! Nice job, sweetie!!

Hi Amaya - I LOVE seeing your artwork! I can see that you really liked going to the mountains this past summer, and you've made the mountains so full of colors - just like they really are! And the picture of you and the cousins playing with the dogs is fantastic! The dog really look like they are playing, putting their front paws on each other and standing up. You and Marcus and Sofia all look like you are having fun, too! I am so happy to be able to see these pictures!! I love you oodles and oodles!
