Inside the glass, the use of values allows the viewer to see a transparent glass

This piece has a lot of contrast and displays value at the bottom of the glass; I also found the water droplets to add a lot to the piece’s detail, causing the viewer to be more intrigued with the piece.

I find this piece very strong with the subjects being displayed. Particularly, I really enjoyed the contrast on the red board, supporting the bowl of fruit. Also, I find the different objects within the artwork allow for a unified and cohesive piece; this allows the viewer to think and attempt to decipher the artist's message.

The different objects in your artwork are unified and create a unique and intriguing composition. The tonal values in your artwork create visual interest in your piece. Additionally, the glass bottle is very well done and looks transparent!

The shadow really reflects the 3-D aspect of the drawing bringing out the cup. The bubbles also give a lot of texture, and the shading adds a lot of variety in color while only using black and white.

I love the different value tones, it provides so much depth. The white highlights on the subject in the middle in contrast to the black gives it a glossy texture. Which I think creates, again, another contrast between the rough texture of the background from the darker grey lines.

This looks so real the shading and dimensions really add to it

I love the look of the dots effect! However long it took you to make this happen, it was definitely worth every second of your time. The contrast between the color of the eye and the background color of white makes it pop and it is the first thing the viewer lays their eyes on. This makes the tiger look fierce which is what you have accomplished!

This piece is awesome! I love the different sizes of the bubbles and how natural everything is. The sizes, the variation, no patterns, and the simplicity of this makes it an outstanding artwork!

This artwork’s form is incredible! The eyes and the nose are amazingly drawn with perfect proportions! Her eyes are beautifully drawn with the right amount of highlights! Excellent work!

This is a very good piece for your first attempt on drawing ice. Ice and water can definitely be intimidating to draw and you’re not the only one! The shading and the water droplets look really nice with the natural effects. I love the fruit/item that is hanging off of the cup. This piece has very good shapes that are proportionate. Great job!

I like this photorealistic vase, it looks well done, and drawing looks neat. Keep it going

Photorealism it’s one of my favorite art genres ever, because I believe you have to be very skilled to achieve the finish look and also for me, highlights are a very hard thing to get done because of the difference it can make in a realistic painting. You have accomplished this job. Keep it going

I really like how you used a variety of tones and values in your artwork. This gave certain aspects of your piece, like the stairs, depth to it.

This is a really good drawing. You say you didn't focus on the bubbles and yet they also came out very good and the shading is very good throughout.

There is value and balance throughout the whole piece. The contrast between the black and white at the bottom show the depth and the realism of the piece.

I really like the way that you faded the reflection of the vase by shading it lighter the further it got from the vase.

I find the shadowing of this piece quite impressive.

I really like how the shading and value tones makes this composition stand out. Details, such as the bubbles in the glass, also add on to the realism of the study.

I love the way the shading helps to make the glass look realistic. All the little details help to bring this drawing to life.

The different tones of orange provide great depth. I like how the brightest part of the piece is the center of the portrait. The candle provides a great bit of detail to the stairway. The addition of the column was a great idea.

This composition is impressive because at first glance I was unsure of what it was, but with further investigation it became more fascinating. The dual staircases in opposite directions adds mystery to the composition. The varying hues of orange in the doorway was a nice touch that made it more dimensional. The stairs were shaded well and added depth.

By using personal belongings like music it helps understand the artist and what they are trying to convey. The textures on the albums give it a realistic 3-dimensional look. The composition is also done well with how it is slightly off center. The different proportions of every album helps with making it look cluttered and not organized.

I like the way the artist has used detail and dimension because it makes the books look more realistic. I also like the type of texture that’s shown. I really like that the artist used different type of shades and textures of colors. This is amazing!!!

I’m not sure why but your art work looks and makes me feel sentimental. The loneliness in this piece is absolutely incredible. The different shades create balance and contrast. Beautiful work!!

The composition of this piece was presented really nicely. Each time I look at this piece I see it with a new perspective that tells me a new story. The parallel of the stairs was represented very evenly. The value tones were shown really well in the shadows. The story behind this piece was shown beautifully.

I really like how you expressed your connection to your piece, music is very powerful and so are your skills in art! The documentation of your processes is very thoughtful and it guides us viewers through the piece to understand how you were able to effectively create this perspective on the albums. I especially like the way you added the text onto the albums, it shows your attention to detail.

Having a personal connection to the subject of the work helps to create a deeper connection with your piece as a whole. The color palette of this piece is simple, yet cohesive. The colors are balanced and work together very nicely. Having the books on a slight diagonal makes for a more interesting composition as well.

This is very creative and it is quite obvious that you experimented in different shapes and illusions. For example the way you painted the pages in it gives the effect of a lot of pages that are thin and singular. I appreciate the use of vocabulary in your piece and you added elements from literature. The angle is unique and it gives a different effect on the viewer.

The sense of realism within this piece is beautiful. The bright, vibrant colors blend well with one another, yet still show soft contrast. I admire how well and realistic the book pages sit together.
Posted 2 years ago by Amal
The highlights within the books create the look of many pages. The details of the authors and book titles make it more realistic. The different widths and heights add depth and dimension. The background also doesn’t take away from the main focal point of the books.
Posted 2 years ago by Danielle
The composition uses lots of harmonious shades of pale pinks, purples and intense blues with pops of warm clouds (red, orange). The book spines show an impressive amount of detail by paying attention to the various fonts, this gives the composition a lot of personality and showcases a realistic style drawing from real life subjects. I also loved how the books take up most of the negative space. This was successfully achieved with the soft color pastels the artist has used. Blending all the hues is clearly displayed in this piece, creating depth highlights and a smooth look to the book covers or ruffled page texture with the gray and white highlights.
Posted 2 years ago by Misha
The way that the depth is pushed with the top and spines of the books is amazing. The color choice really brings in the viewer. All the texts gives it a really good idea of unionism. The whole piece holds great unity and is balanced very well.

This amazing creation with diffrent book shapes and sizes makes for a great opposition. The different color values work well to suggest artificial lighting bouncing off them. The page edges of the books look real as they move your eye to the background which has nice contrasting texture. The unity and flow of the objects in this piece were very well. Great work!!!

The depth that the books create is perfect. The books are very bright and eye catching. The piece is very strong with color choice. The red brings me in to start, with the rule of 3rds.

The checkerboard pattern really allows the blue flowers to really pop. The use of complementary colors also creates a nice contrast for the work as a whole. The ribbons in addition to the flowers also made for another point of interest to contrast the shape of the flowers.
Posted 2 years ago by Madison
The use of the pattern as the background and putting another design in the foreground creates a sense of depth as well as emphasis on the pattern in the foreground. The color choice of blue, yellow and green is interesting and sort of creates a sense of unity within the piece. The contrast of the simple pattern in the background and the more complex pattern in the foreground allows for a very interesting piece.

The notations on your pictures help the viewer understand the image better. You used emphasis with different fonts to show what’s more important. Everything is done very neatly and appealing making it pleasing for the view to interpret.

I can tell that you put the most time and effort into the woman's hair because of the great movement and levels of value that make it appear glossy. The entire piece is very smooth and can be described as matte. I love how you were able to achieve certain shapes within the piece without outline due to your color placement.

The simplicity of these flowers bring happiness to me. I love the light blue color and the fullness of it.

I adore the aesthetic of the pattern in its use of ribbons, flowers and the periwinkle blue which create a vibe similar to an old baby blanket. The choice of blue only adds to the melancholy feel.

I love how you added the designs on the blanket as well it all really pulls the picture together.

The colors and hues used in the difference in the fish, water, and coral give it a cool tone appearance and tone. How you incorporated the use of lines on the fish’s tail, allows for viewer to get the sense of flow.

By using a bright red in a piece that is mostly blue, it draws the viewer’s attention and creates a doorway to the artwork. The circular pattern in the background frames the red bubble and makes it clear where the viewer is intended to enter the piece.

This is a great peace you did to reflect unity. The blue and pink hues compliment each other nicely. The black emphasizes the shape of the fish.
