What a fun picture. This little girl looks so happy to be by that frozen lake. The look on her face is charming. I see she has on a nice, warm stocking hat on her head. I wonder if her grandma knit it for her?

I love the bold colors and lines in this. It reminds me of Halloween colors. I can see a lot of thinking going into this picture.

When did you make this giant eagle? It reminds me of when we’d see the one hanging from the ceiling at Wickiup.

Wow, Ellie. This is really interesting. What can you tell me about it? The black lines on the white background are very dramatic. Are those tissue paper flowers in the corner?

I love the face on this endangered animal. The eyes are so expressive. I'm glad you care about animals, Ellie. What can we do to help save them from extinction?

Wow! There is so much to see in this picture. Did it take you a long time to finish it? The way you spaced the pink color over the page really holds my interest.

Surfboards are so long. Can you imagine how hard it is to strap them on the car to get to the beach? Such a sunny day for your surfboard picture. It cheers me right up!

Such a cheerful pink color, Ellie, and nice coordinating tones added in the middle. Wouldn't it be great to be somewhere warm where we could go surfing?

Ellie-There is a song called the "Bluebird of Happiness" who can always cheer people up if they are sad. Your bluebird picture sure cheered me up today, just like YOU always do. I love you, Cheerful Ellie!

Look at this cute piggy. His little curly tail is just perfect. It looks like you painted him on a nice warm summer day. Did you use a paint brush for the sky and grass?

Grandpa John loves this flower. Me, too! Do you think he could grow one like it out front with the tulips? I see all the colors of the rainbow there. Very nice.

Yikes! This monster is having a furry, fabulous time at the Monster Party. I love the row of eyes and his big ears. How did you get those colorful dots in the picture?

Oh, Ellie! Look at this happy turtle. He is enjoying a walk in the sunshine. With the cold weather coming I'll bet he'll soon be burrowing in to that nice squishy mud to hibernate.

Was this done with water color paint and crayons. That's a fun way to work. I can see a dragonfly in there. What do you see?

This is interesting. What can you tell me about it? The hearts make me think it is a sweet animal.

Oh, Ellie! I love your colorful spooky bats. Their teeth are kind of scary-the blue one especially. Each bat seems to have a different personality. The red one looks surprised. The yellow one looks cheerful. And that blue one-well, he still looks kind of scary. Interesting to see that you drew craters on the moon. You know a lot about space. Thanks for working so hard on your school projects.
