HI Isabel, this is a really unique assignment. I am eager to see it in person because it looks three dimensional and really interesting. I have seen some cave painting and many ancient images in Egypt. This reminds me of those. Great work!

Hi Isabel, What a fun artwork! I like the colors and how well you spaced everything. It's also a nice lesson in perspective from up in the sky down to the earth. Keep drawing!

Hi Izzy, I call this artwork a "lesson in colors." It is striking and I like how you worked through all of the quadrants as different parts of your lesson. Let's talk about what you are thinking about using this experience in new ways.

Hi Izzy, Now this is a fun artwork! I just read the book called The Henna Artist that told a story about cultures of India and how female artists use henna ink to create beautiful patterns on women's hands - especially for special events like weddings. I am eager to learn about this assignment.

Hi Izzy, I love this artwork for many reasons - the colors, which also remind me of diversity, the trumpet and music notes. Together, they make me think of jazz which also brings diversity to mind. Well done!

Isabel, Thanks for sharing your drawing. I loved the assignment because I had to learn drawing faces in my ceramics class, and one project was a full chess set, so they had to be perfect each time. Your face is just right in proportion, the eyes are very good, Your hair is just right and I like that I can see your ears. Let me know sometime what you were thinking in the background? Maybe the pine trees in your front yard, or the house in West Yellowstone?

Izzy, Your cardinals are terrific. I love the colors and the suggestion of snow. When your mother was your age, we lived in the woods and had many cardinals that came to feed right outside the doors to our family room. they looked like red flowers in the nearby trees that had lost all of their leaves and had snow on the branches.

Hi Izzy, What fun to think about and look at all kinds of Cacti. I think you know that one of these is called "cactus" and two or more are called "cacti". Your artwork is fun (I like your colors too!) and reminds me that we will see many, many cacti when we all go to Arizona next March! It will be so much fun to do this together! Keep doing these fun and pretty artworks! And thank your teacher for sending these to us to see.

Hi Izzy! This is a happy picture of earth and the sky! The techniques your teacher taught you for drawing and coloring are very interesting and I like the result. I also like the edges of the picture that pulls it all together and suggest the very deep, dark, great big sky beyond. I am eager to see your next artwork!

Izzy, when I saw this art work, it made me happy! I love butterflies! Years ago when Beepa and I move into our first house together I decorated the kitchen and painted a huge butterfly on the wall behind our kitchen breakfast nook. Now we plant flowers and bushes in our garden to attract and support these beautiful creatures. I like how you balanced both sides of your butterfly.

Izzy, This is very good work. I love the colors and am interested in how you made the hut. When we are together again, I will show you my pictures from my trip to Africa. I saw many places people lived, the wild lands, wild animals, and the big cities and the beautiful oceans. South Africa is a very beautiful place.
