Gianna, this piece of art is “leafing” me with thoughts of students working together and improvising immediately after a student finishes his/her part in the process to add another dimension. Wonderful concept. Keep up the creativity! Love, Grandma

Geeg, your collage is quite interesting and very creative of activities you like to do, some favorite sweets, your favorite pet Hammie, and dinosaurs for your brother (how thoughtful of you).

Geeg, pinch pots are a new artistic design for me (and maybe for you?) If so, then it takes practice to make appear what you want it to be. Art is really in the eye of the artist creating a piece. You did a fine job, so keep pursuing it. Love, Grandma

Geeg, I am a super big fan of the American flag. I love how you drew flags from larger to smaller in this drawing, giving depth perception to the smallest flag in the distance. (In photography, this is called depth of field.). Keep up your artistic endeavors. Love, Grandma

Geeg, your facial features are quite real-like. I am especially fond of the eyes - maybe that's because I look at people's eyes when I first see them. Plus, the colors of eyes (iris) are quite intriguing to me. You are doing wonderful artwork!

Geeg, your glass bottles are precisely beautiful and transparent. Yes, I can see them lined up on my table, filled with candies or brightly colored flowers from my garden. Your artwork is delightful!

G - This imaginative and creative tree house is great in our backyard, especially with your brother and cousins climbing the tree to get to the house. When I was a your age and living on our farm, I didn't have a treehouse but I climbed up a mulberry tree and sat on a special branch to eat the mulberries around me.

G, I think your wolf is quite realistic and authentic. The shading of its coat from white to black is excellent. You are doing a wonderful job of creating art projects - keep it up! Grandma

G, I love your bowl of food/upside-down face technique! It is quite creative and whimsical. Facing challenges of any kind will help you with critical thinking and problem-solving. What a clever idea to do this in appreciation of Arcimboldo's art work.

Gianna, I love your face made from vegetables! I think it is neat that you can turn it upside down too for a different view & image. Glad you explained how you made it to me. Keep up the wonderful creative fun!!!

G, I just love the colors you chose for this letter. The blues fade into greens fading into a shade of yellow feels very smooth and aesthetic. Compliments to you, my budding artist! Love, Grandma

Gianna, I love your desert scene. It was neat how you remembered your mom describing what a cactus looked like when she returned from a business trip there. I'm glad you mentioned that you included an owl inside the cactus. That was a cool idea. Plus I love the mountains. Always will. What a beautiful collection of cool pastel colors!

Gianna, We love your figures in motion! When I asked you about it, I thought perhaps you traced it because it was so well done! And I think her face is awesome. You draw faces better than you think and certainly better than Grandpa :) So keep up the fantastic art work. We really enjoy viewing it online. Gramps & Gramma

Dearest G: What a creative way to actually "feel" what Michelangelo felt while he was painting - trying to lie on your back while drawing. Your dinosaur is so full of details and unique to you. Thank you for sharing. Love, Gram and Gramp

Gianna, Can you imagine how difficult it was for Michelangelo to paint the Sistene Chapel ceiling? You did very well with this challenging task. Love your art creations! Keep up the tremendous drawings!

Dear G, we absolutely love your Mother Nature version of Mona Lisa. The colors are beautiful (natural and so close to nature's colors). You have drawn such lovely and pleasing details of her facial features, the flowers in her hair, and the plant beside her. The shading blends well from sunrise/sunset to water to the soil. Thanks for sharing this charming and delightful piece of artwork with us. We love it! Much love, Grandma & Grandpa
