Olivia - this looks perfect! How did you do it??

Hi, Olivia. I love this piece. I think the bird is discouraged by something, and he’s walking outside to feel better. Eventually, he’ll see the bright flowers and the vibrant ripples under his feet, and he’ll feel joyful! Well done!

Olivia, I can’t believe how much I love this peacock! The colors are spectacular. When Nana comes to visit me, we sit on my back porch at night, and the lights make peacock feather shapes on the screens! So not only is your artwork beautiful on its own; it reminds me of fun times with Nana!

Holy Smokes, Olivia. This is incredible. Each of the figures has been cut out exactly with smooth edges; even the tiny shapes like the eyes and mouths are perfect! The guy on the right looks like he'd be the most fun at a party. He's posing like someone else just did something outrageous and he's a bit concerned. Did you give the guy with the guitar a Beatles haircut on purpose? Your pieces are always so creative!

What a Saturday treat to see this splashy, colorful piece! Did you remember that I have 3 Picasso posters in my house? I think your picture reminds me of you! Part of you is like the columns of rectangles...very practical, goal-oriented, willing to stack up the little efforts needed to earn a badge or do well on an assignment. And part of you is a little wild, a bit crazy, unpredictable and creative like the overlays. Thanks to you AND your teacher for sharing this Oliviacasso!

Don't you think this picture would make a great bed pillow in my bedroom? You know I have purple accent colors, and the purple tree divides the picture up really well. I think the ripply color and edges provide a perfect contrast to the sharp black and white. The owl works because I always read in bed. And the perfectly-formed stars (How did you make them so perfect?) and sliver of the moon mean it's almost bedtime! Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful picture with me. I can't wait to see more!

This is sooooo beautiful. I think it would be the perfect design for a bedspread or a long, flowing skirt or a flag for a Princess' kingdom. It makes me feel happy and relaxed at the same time. I love all of the colors, but the bright yellow is the most surprising.

Your robot sure made me chuckle! I like the contrast between her top half...all muscular and intimidating...and her bottom half, with her skinny bowed legs. The blue of her top half reminds me of the ocean. I think I would name her Rhonda Robot, and write a story called, "Big Rhonda Learns to Roller Skate." Thanks for making laugh and think today!

Wow! I can really see a huge improvement in your art since your last pictures! This one looks like a professional piece. The leaves are so artfully arranged to showcase their colors, and the owl's face has a great expression on it. I think the purple, pinks and blues of the owl's body are a surprising (in a good way) contrast to the branch and leaves. Did you know that Eric Carle was born about 2 hours west of where I live? I'm looking forward to seeing more of your art online!

I would like to visit this city with you! It has some of my favorite things. First, of course, are all of the cookie spots, and my favorite kind, chocolate chip. We could visit each one and do a taste test. I also like the brightly colored buildings, especially the yellow set between the two pink ones. I think those colors would make a pretty bedroom! Did you think of a name for your city? Cookietown? Chipville? Let's go! Thanks for sharing your work with me; I always look at your pictures many, many times.

What a wonderful picture, Olivia. I love the arrangement of hearts, as well as their expressions. Because of the way you designed, arranged and colored them, my eye goes to the purple one, then the green, yellow and blue. Lastly, I see the little baby heart in the middle! I also like the way you used black to give such vivid expressions and personalities to them. I think the green one reminds me most of me. Nana is the blue one. If this was a poster in a store, I would definitely buy it. When you visit this summer, I think we should draw a picture together.

This is so bright an beautiful, just like you! Alma Thomas would be proud to see how creatively you’ve honored her work. I found out that she was born in Georgia, where cousin Nick and Katie live! Thanks for sharing your artwork.

This is a beautiful picture Olivia! It looks very real. You did a great job with the purple background and the snow falling is perfect. I love the animals too.

I love this picture! Your choice of lavender shades for the sky warms up the picture, and makes it feel very peaceful. The tree looks like a Joshua tree, one of my favorite kinds; they only grow in a few places like California, and sometimes they look like people. The animals and the fence remind me of my backyard. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful picture, Olivia.

Love the idea of this worry doll. You did a great job! Love you!

I had so much fun looking at the doll you made and making up a story about her; I think she made a pot out of magic mud that turned anything you put into the pot into chocolate. Thanks for sharing!
