I love this painting. The bird looks as if it spent the day at a bird feeder filled with nourishing seeds before perching on a branch to admire the deep blue starlit nighttime sky. Absolutely beautiful!

This looks to me like a field of flowers in full bloom. Growing bright and beautiful in the center is Clara, the loveliest flower of all.

If a caterpillar wore shoes, imagine how many pairs it would need!

This little black-nosed hedgehog loves the soft feel of his brown body with pinkish-red spines!

Firefighters in protective clothing rush to put out orange, red, and yellow blazes as people standing a safe distance away from the blistering heat applaud their skill and bravery.

This looks to me like a parade of Cees through the center of a rainbow. Some are marching to the left, the others to the right, and all are open-mouthed in awe of the vibrant spectacle of Mother Nature!

An artist who paints a pumpkin as not simply orange but with orange and white and green stripes is truly creative! Grandad was particularly fond of the pumpkin's googly eyes!

Petit Escargot is smiling as he crawls along under gathering gray clouds. Why is he happy? Because Petit Escargot knows he can always duck inside his little shell of a house if the weather turns bad. I love this painting, Clara. And I love Petit Escargot for looking at the bright side, come rain or shine.

This Teddy doesn't look brand new, but that's okay with him. This Teddy has the look of having been played with and loved. And that's the kind of Teddy he wants to be.

This painting made me think of picking ripe Maine apples in the fall. The picture also made me hungry for yummy apple chunks in my yogurt, homemade applesauce, and a slice of apple pie. I can imagine you right now, biting into a juicy red apple grown on a tree like the one in your painting. Yum!

Guess what? I found the name of my sweet, sweet granddaughter at the bottom of her newest work of art. C-L-A-R-A. Multi-colored letters on a deep pink piece of paper. Stickers too! Fun!

Oh, and by the way, even if I was a hungry hungry squirrel, and very very curious about how this unusual nut would taste, rather than eat it, I would tuck it in my puffy cheeks and scurry off to find a new home for the acorn and me in the special oak tree that grew it.

What do I see? A sea of Cs?

On the way to going to the market, these little piggies stepped in red paint! Oh no!

If I was a squirrel I would think this was the prettiest acorn I had ever seen???.

When Tom and Phil were small, they were told by an art teacher to fill the whole page with colorful paint. How exciting to see you take after your artistic uncles!
