Maxwell successfully captured the abstract style of Mondrian by using three basic colors to shape into simple geometric forms. He then outlines each color with bold lines. Maxwell positioned the lines in subtle angles, creating an illusion of movement. The illusion of movement created by these basic forms gives the energy of dancing: something Maxwell enjoys doing as well as the artist Mondrian.
