I think this is one of your best pieces yet as far as showcasing your skill level.

you know, this is one of those interpretive art pieces... first thought is colorful hot air balloons taking off... then, if I were to be hit my meteor shower... I would want it as colorful as this...need I go on. I like it.

looks good enough to eat..... I mean it. hungry here, kiddo.
Posted 4 years ago by Gramma

Would look at this before I retired in the evening... so peaceful, relaxing, stars and the moon... but then one could say the half moon is "eating" the stars. HA. like this.

pretty cool... key to my heart or at least that is what I see.

Wow, really like the puzzle-like pieces and alternate art on the letters. With the brick wall, it reminds one of the street art and would only wish the word would dominate the world. Good work, kiddo, my love.

I really like the perspective on this one. I'd like to be the person lying on the beach next to that shell. ;)
Posted 4 years ago by Tita

This is my new favorite! Reminds me a little of Van Gogh (Cafe Terrace at Night).

wow, again, am impressed. First look catches the eye are the bright colors of the village but am drawn to the mountains and the appearance of sunrise? sunset?... lighting on the mountains is right on.
Posted 4 years ago by Jeanette

You have the perspective down pat! and I agree the lampost fits in correctly, extending as it should. Wow, am impressed

oh, wow, really like this. Lots of objects, shading. apple itself shading is great. I like that you darken the most nearest the bottom of the apple and lighten as you worked out. Good job

Wow! This is my new favorite.

I know I have looked at this piece but cannot remember if I remarked on it. Having done this type of artwork on my kitchen wall, I appreciate the work to make it aged peeking out of the plaster wall, alternating brick, and the shading. You did very good job on this.

This brings a smile to my face. What a joyful piece. My impression first, whether it was your intent or not, is watching sports, the hectic action of playing. But you tell me what you intended.
Posted 4 years ago by Jeanette

I like this. You have really got the shading right for perspective, depth, three dimension.
Posted 4 years ago by Jeanette

Maybe because I am a fan of sketching such as this, I really like it. Appreciate you left little light reflection in eyes. Makes everyone know it is alive.
Posted 4 years ago by Jeanette

Face proportions are right, eyes are good (don't forget to leave little highlight for reflection in the eyes, only change to nose would be to lower the tip 'v' on the nose a bit, shadow as you did on the right (looking at drawing) for the nostril impressions or draw the line very lightly. Many do not get lips at all and you have done great. really good portrait.

This type of art can be a bit difficult to make it look real and Mercedes has done so with the shading for depth perception. I like the cracks which had to character. Great job.

As a family historian, this one brings such a smile as the tree is often used for family members so this piece speaks to me of history, endurance, and strength. She has an inborn sense of seeing beyond the obvious to many. Jeanette

The use of the three pleasing colors to interact with the black and white makes one want to follow the "Puzzle" from beginning to end. Very pleasing. Jeanette, artist/art teacher

What a delightful, delicious looking sandwich, no distracting background, you are focused on the subject. could be use for a commercial. Jeanette, artist/art teacher

As an artist and art teacher, using pencil, pen and ink to show shading, depth, balance. this shows a born talent and excellent teacher. Jeanette
