Carson, your Snoopy is soooo wonderful!! The detail you have put in with the lights, Snoopy's toes, the grass, along with the sky and sun. It is such a great piece of art reflecting Snoopy! :)

Ruth. I like how you have Snoopy laying on top of his doghouse which he always does. I especially like all the lights you have hanging down.

Nice Snoopy, Carson. Looks just like the real cartoon. Grandpa.

Carson, as I look at your triangle with the repeated color pattern, I see depth, as if I am going down a very long hallway. Very cool how you created that depth using repeated color and repeated shape! I would love to know the story behind this assignment, as I also see the different color in the right hand corner and that creates curiosity in me.

Nice cartoon drawing, Carson. I like that the minion fills up the entire paper !

I love your picture of Bob the Minnon. It reminded of Bob when I met him, He always wore bib overalls. He had glasses like that . And when he did work he used his gloves.

Hi Carson! Wow! So cool! Look at the perspective drawing you have made in the Rubric cube! I see depth you created of the cube, as well as the height. It is fantastic! I hope you enjoyed making it. Also, the strokes of either paint or marker certainly give the cube texture and 'sections' like the Rubic cube! Good job. Question - is the shadow something you did or is that the shadow of the person taking the photo? Regardless, well done and I really enjoy seeing what you are making!

I just ate a piece of pizza that looked like this (sort of), love Grandpa.

Nice work, Carson. Did you know this looks similar to the real Rainbow Mtn in Peru? Love Grandpa

Carson, your clay work has this huge grin on my face about what you have created! I love it. Look at that style of height and the cap style of the mushroom / toadstool on the stem. I like the red on the white contrast, as well as the orange figure on the top. You got to work with glaze it seems. I wonder what you enjoyed most about this project! It is very fun!

Carson, I think you have a story in this picture that I am curious about. As I look at the purple image at the bottom of the picture, I notice the white space between the middle shape and the triangle shapes above the middle shape. Keeping the white space there is such a great feature creating this sense of wonder in me of delight how you kept that space white. That takes some calculating and purposeful drawing. Fantastic job! :)

Carson, I wonder what you enjoyed most on this project. I notice how those lines to make the 'G' are parallel and that is hard to do to make the lines stay a certain distance apart as you go around the curves. That takes careful 'eyeing'. I notice the yellow as background and the green surrounding the letter 'G' and how careful each color is in their spaces. Great work!

Carson, that is a wide variety of sports that you came up with, as well as the symbols for each sport. Wow! I am impressed. Also, look at your bubble letters! They are cool!

Carson! I think I know who you cheer for! The outline of the KC emblem is subtle yet evident. To keep that outline there took some concentration on your part, I imagine. Fantastic job! :)

Carson -- the green handles on your clay pot are amazing! Those are hard to attach, as well as hard to make. Good job!! I love your color combinations, too.

Nice drawings, Carson. I like sports too!

I agree. All sports are cool!

Very nice, Carson. Looks like a sugar bowl, but how will you use it. Love, Grandpa.

It looks like you did a resist on this shape and followed a pattern with your colors of red, blue, yellow. The curly-q's you made pop out best in the red and blue painted colors. How fun! Good job, Carson!

Your turtle is so cool, Carson! It looks like you put a pattern in the clay on the top of the turtle's shell. Your turtle's head and legs are formed well. I imagine that was a bit tricky to get them to stick to the turtle's body. And you did it! What is your turtle's name?

A pot made from clay. I wonder what method you used to make this little pot. For instance, did you pinch it together or did you roll coils and smooth them together? I wonder if some of your favorite colors now are blue and red. I'd love to know what you were thinking as you painted your cool pot -- like how did you choose that pretty, deep, navy blue for the inside and red with black for the outside? And I wonder what you enjoyed most as you were making this cool pot from clay.

Carson, I am guessing last Fall, 2021, what came to your mind with the word 'Fall' was corn candy, apples and pumpkins. Your stripes on the pumpkin with the brown stem really make the orange pumpkin 'pop'. And the brown stems on the apples with the little leaves are fantastic! Wonderful attention to detail, Carson. Your corn candy / candy corn looks good enough to eat! You titled your picture 'Fall' and filled up your paper. What is your story of your picture?

Hi Carson! Whoo-hoo! Another piece of art you have made. I am very curious about this piece. For example: what shape was the clay when you started? Because if it was round, you did some work to get it flatter. Is it air-bake clay or did it get fired in a kiln? Because there is careful painting and clear lines of blue and red, I am wondering what the assignment was. I wonder how you painted your piece without getting paint all over you. Your color choices are bold and you made the paint cover the clay. Good job! I am glad to see your work and am proud of you!

Carson, look at the patterns you have created, the variety of ways your lines have helped my eyes to move and the colors you used to make that all happen! What a fun picture! Big smile to you!

Carson, this picture brings out a happy smile on my face. The cute, little, red tongue and the expressive eyes on your animal with either its tail or hind leg against the blue, blue sky seem all to make your creature fascinating. I love the way you have shown the 'feet' with your 'v' markings. What a wonderful piece of art!

Carson, my eyes get happy seeing the green and blue together in your background of colors! The 2 colors make a texture along with the direction of your marks. Fantastic! I see the sun warming up sunflowers, if I am accurate. I have a happy feeling seeing your sunflowers! Drawing the sunflowers and then coloring them in took some time. Good for you in your patience as you created the beautiful picture.

Your picture is full of wonderful marks and stories! I see the curly marks in the background in different colors. I see your snowman on top of the background with the arms up, scarf wrapped around its neck -- which is fantastic how you created the scarf to look that way! I see the texture in your scarf, too! I, also, notice your snowman looking with its eyes and I am curious what story is happening that your snowman is watching. How fun!

3 strong, snow-capped mountains sitting in the middle of your picture enjoying the blue sky and warm sun. Look at that! It's beautiful! Your fingers holding the coloring tool, as well as your hand, wrist and arm movement with your fingers made something that was not there before. Isn't that just fantastic? Your art-making has me smiling and I feel so proud of you.

Clay!! And you painted the clay pot, too! That's a hard thing to paint the inside of a pot and then the outside in a different color. Way to go! You did it!! I wonder what you enjoyed most in making the pot and painting it. Sweet!

If I were a bird, I would want to be flying in your picture with the birds you created. Lovely job creating your background, sky and then your objects up in front! I wonder if you were using crayon or color pencil for coloring in your picture. Either way, it takes patience to color space like that and I see what great texture you created. Look how the blue sky makes the blue in the front object to pop out. Beautiful work, Carson!

I want to know the story of your picture. The yellow makes the mice seem like lightening bugs that light up! Look at those cute noses!! and curly tails!! 3 blue, 2 red and 1 yellow. Hmm.....I wonder what they are thinking as you were making them. Smiling so big with your picture.

I love your snowman! The colorful scarf catches my attention right away. The orange hat pulls out the orange color in the scarf! And Orange is your favorite color! Is it still? Look at those snowflakes in the background. How fantastic!! :)

What catches my eye in this picture are the black objects right in the middle of your picture! This draws my eye to study the figure in the center and from there I notice the sun, the grass, the blue, blue surrounding. I would love to know your story for what I imagine took time and concentration to color that amount of blue! I am proud of you, Carson!

I am curious what the project was called for this day -- I see shades of blue, lines that make stripes and squares, as well as filling in the triangles....and lines at the bottom of the page. How did you come up with the ideas to use lines to make the patterns in the circle shapes and then lines that gave a totally different look at the bottom of the page. Isn't that just cool??!! What is the story of this fantastic shape person? So smiling at your creative expression!

Carson, I am wondering if this was a mixed media collage. I see red yarn, pink feathers? and green and white pieces that look like they might have been something you would glue onto the marks. What catches my eye right away are the 2 red lines in the middle of the page that cross each other. And the texture you have created with the brown marks above and the other smaller green, blue and very light pink short lines on the right. Look at that!! What a rich picture you created! :)

Carson! My eyes see the colors and follow the movement of the lines while my face has a big smile! What beautiful work you have created! Look at the pattern you made using color and lines. Fantastic. :).

Carson! I am impressed with your pear. I get curious with the green color in those places because it reminds me of shading. Look at the different colors of yellow! This is very interesting. And the blue background makes your pear ‘pop’! What wonderful work you are doing!

Carson! What a fantastic piece! It catches my eye with the different designs of lines and circles. How you used the colors with lines and shape is fascinating...makes my eyes dance and smile.
