What a cool juxtaposition of your favorite activities. I love the ribbons of the pointe shoes draped over the piano keys. I didn't even see the knitting needle at first with its subtle placement! -- Mom

Wait a minute! Those orange things on the ground are mislabeled. Anybody else remember that a young Ms. M insisted for years that they were called "coffees"? BTW, they now have a small charge at Cosley Animal Farm. Still free for us residents, but all you out-of-towners have to pay to fix the hole in the city budget! -- Michael

You have captured this annual tradition beautifully. Who is that handsome guy that is doing all the heavy work? -- Dad

Aww, Cosley Animal Farm! I bet we went to Augustino's afterward! I love the quilt square format! How cool would a whole paper quilt be on your wall? -- Mom

Clearly, this work must be done by an individual with art in her genes (probably paternal). My only fear is the she has peaked too early. -- Kurt

Yo Maria! Bobo says that snowman has Chicken Feet Hands! Tofu says that snowman is just Stringing us along since it's not FROSTY enough for a SNOWman to still be hanging around! Uncle Mike says - Abe Lincoln called - he wants his hat back! Everybody says - Nice interpretative take on a old classic icon of winter! -- Michael

Maria, you have created the sense of movement in your sky. That, contrasted with the stark silhouette of the buildings and trees in the foreground, is very exciting. I like all your work and particularly enjoy my coffee mug. Love, Grandma Lou

Very nice Ms. M - your wavy lines give a sense of depth and even a 3D effect to your artwork - check out another artist by the name of Edvard Munch who also used wavy lines to great effect. In a picture called "The Scream" he uses wavy lines to visually & with extreme realism capture the sound for the viewer.
