Nettie Rose, This is really cool. You know how much I like symmetry. Your color and design choices are perfect. Nice job. Grandpa

Nettie, I like this work of art..it isn't the normal drawing or painting! I love that you had the opportunity to use your hands in a different way to create a piece of art! I like the pink color you used! And I think it is special that you shared it with your cousin...what a nice gift!

Nettie Rose, This dragon eye reminds me of the movie Dragonheart. In one scene, the eye of the dragon was closed and the dragon wa camouflaged into the background. When it opened its eye, and began to move, you were able to tell what it was and how big and powerful it was. Your dragon eye is soft and pretty, but the texture is a good replica of what the dragons scales would look like. You can almost tell how they would feel to the touch. Great job. Love you, Grandpa

Minnette - Wow! I love the fluorescent colors you used in this piece. I think that would look cool hung up in your room in a frame!

Nettie Rose, What a really cool color wheel. The detailed eyelashes and eyebrow make an even more dramatic effect. Nice job. Grandpa

Nettie Rose, This is beautiful. The tree trunks remind me of quaking aspen and white birch trees you might see in the wintery Colorado mountains. Your color choices give the effect of the sun shining on a snowy day. Excellent job. Grandpa.

Minnette I had a lava lamp when I was young...I can visualize, by the way you drew, the hot lava moving around as it warms up. I would think that the man and the woman inside are enjoying the colors you used...it may look like a beautiful sunset to them! Great job!

I'm so impressed by your shading on the base and top of the lava lamp. You are such an artist!

I am so proud that even though it didn't turn out the way you pictured the first time, you kept persevering to make something new. I love your determination and creativity! Love, Mom
