Nice work, Colin! It looks like you spent some time on this project. We’re you painting with watercolor? I like the different shades of blue in the water. You’ll have to tell me sometime about what is to the right of the house with the green roof.

Colin, I love your snowflake! We could have some snow tonight into tomorrow. I am just imagining what everything would look like if the snow came in all those pretty colors!

This looks like a great seahorse. All the colors make me think of Eric Carle’s book “Mister Seahorse.” Did you know that the daddy seahorse is the parent who takes care of the eggs? I love this book because it tells of several ocean creatures where the dad is the one to take care of the babies. Have you read this book?

Colin, Every time this picture pops up, I smile. I don’t know what you were thinking when you drew it. But when I look at it, I think of all the houses in a neighborhood, with all the families inside right now. And, there are lots of different expressions, really happy, some not as happy, and the one on the far right looks like they are really yelling (or singing?) and the one on the left sticking his or her tongue out probably thinking “I don’t like missing school.”

Colin, I love the ice cream picture. It makes me smile because I know how we all enjoy Honey and Macki’s or the ice cream truck. Summer will come soon, and we’ll all “scream for ice cream”!

Colin, This artwork is one of my favorites that you have done. The tracks in the snow make me think of lots of little children climbing up a hill with their sleds and having so much fun.

Colin, I just showed your picture to Pops. We both like it. The colors are pretty and kind of blend into each other. You’ll have to tell me what you used to make this. Paint? Chalk? Crayons?
