I love this sculpture Katie! You have certainly sculpted this jar in the style of an original Egyptian Canopic jar. The colours are perfect and the hieroglyphics are an amazing touch to finish off this brilliant piece of artwork! This piece of artwork is amazing Katie! I’m not surprised that you chose this iconic black and white magazine image as it reflects your personality. You have completed this image perfectly with the dramatic effect of the image so that at first glance it looks like the whole image. Cochiti Pueblo ceramicist Helen Cordero is not a sculptor I am familiar with so I had a look at some of her work. Katie you have totally captured her style of storytelling sculptures. Well done Katie, your artwork is realistically like the landscapes in the southwest United States so you have studied the detail in the photographs really well.
