Dear Mary Bryan, I love your truly beautiful artwork. The gentle shades of rose with hints of warm white, lightly tinted warm, white with touches of pink and peach tint. The somewhat darker colors are blended so effectively, with strands offering diangular movement. The application and layering of color is aesthetically pleasing and so interesting as one sees and feels so engaged in the what appears to be a pastel painting, discovering more color nuances ,movement as well as a sense of calm. Grandmama calm. Your

S0-0-0 interesting! I can't wait to hear about your process in creating this piece. I definitely want to get a coffee mug with this art work on it.

Dear Mary Bryan, I really loved your sculpture made from the corrugated box. Your choice of colors is very appealing to the eye and "planting" the terrific orange flower with turquoise leaves through the black central square was so effective and such a super design element. Using the orange and light green strips(ribbon? and paper) to wrap the package was ingenious!

Mary Bryan you have always are creating different styles of lettering when writing or painting your name and/or initials. This time you went for "the bold". The balance and placement of the letters is very effective and I especially like you"ys". Grandmama

Your bold lettering against the soft pastel background is interesting.

Mary Bryan , MB, The way you carried-over the splatter technique to the pink background unifies the artwork. I loved the way you”smudged” the rainbow colors over the outline of the initials. Adding the pencil lines underneath and you full name and the two contrasting shapes in pencil and the colorful round designs gives balance and draws the eye of the viewer across the work. I feel happy when I look at your MB?

Your weaving of beautiful colors reminds me of a textile design. The way you chose to use the single navy stripe against the lighter shades of color make an interesting design!

This is a framer!! They all are!!!

The pastel colors you chose for the snowflakes and the stylish hat really add that special touch to the interesting design of each one. The scarf looks fuzzy and I love the beautiful color combination that brings out the eyes and facial features. It was a great idea to use the colors you did for the face! Super special snowperson!!!

Love this!

Dear Mary Bryan, I especially love how you have the very creative "trail"of purple dots unifying the artwork. Placing groupings of dots of the same color or ones alone is very effective and interesting. Each rectangle could stand alone as a beautiful picture and all together the design is so strong. i the slightly off center orangey dot that connects the yellow triangle to the triangular sun with orange and yellow rays is very clever. I also love the heart!!! Purple and blue--yes!

Dear Mary Bryan, These letter snowflakes created with so many interesting sizes and shapes of a variety of letters is terrific! The contrast of designs and placement on the dark background is really exciting. Y Our attention to detail is special with the dots that seem to make the snowflakes twinkle. The colors you chose are beautiful! I especially love the addition of the lavender, pink and purple to the blue gren shades. Love, grandmama

The scary Halloween cat is very clever, indeed! I think this is a female cat. She looks so sweet with those big round eyes complete with long eyelashes. You are so talented!
- Nana on November 25, 2021
Mary Bryan- Your “Scary Cat” is very clever. The cat features large dark eyes that stare right at you and the skeleton is well-drawn. The falling varied leaves add a special touch as does the jack-o-lantern. The cat is both scary and friendly saying “hi” to us.

Mary Bryan this beautiful drawing focusing on the bright pink petals and bold yellow center with darker strokes giving texture surrounded by shorter stemmed flowers with curved leaves emerging from the grass topped by pink, purple and yellow flowers in pairs on either side of the long central stem is very special design. This made me smile and feel happy. Welcome Spring and Summer in a lovely garden!

Dear Mary Bryan, Your drawing of fireworks is exciting and even explodes surrounding the full moon! I really loved the pink hearts and the long lines that point downward on a slant that give movement to the fantastic display.

I guess I forgot to write a comment about this colorful drawing from last year. This one was special because you wrote a description of the artwork or it could have been used as a large birthday card for a very lucky person who received it. The white writing on black paper really stands out as do the bright colors against the dark marker used in the attached rectangular picture. The bright sun with rays is the focal point and the complementary red orange and dark pink against the interesting angular green shape is terrific.

Dear Mary Bryan, Thank you for sharing this special portrait especially because I love to see you here since I am in Florida now and I am able to see you here! The shades of magenta(darker and lighter pink /rose petal color) with the green curvy oval shape around your face and neck are so lovely and really bring the focus of the viewer right to the beautiful face with such a welcoming and sweet smile. Using the pencil to add the the waviness to your long blond hair is very realistic. You surprised me with the large blue eyes. I look forward to seeing another painting or drawing where you might ask a friend or family member you to pose for you as you are working on the portrait. You might also try to do a portrait of a favorite doll or special pet.

Dear Mary Bryan, I am so happy to see this terrific cut and folded 3 dimensional collage! The variety of shapes i very interesting and full of surprises ! The effect of several interesting black shapes and using the black marker lines and then the crayoned triangle within the largest pale pink triangle was so very clever and unites the surrounding shapes, especially the pale pink folded pieces and what is really important is how you had a blue background but added the pink in one corner and purple in the right corner!!! Amazing ! This collage is so full of interesting shapes and folded that every time I look carefully I see a new combination that is exciting! With the folded pieces it looks like there are shadows too. I especillay like the placement of the dark purple with black marker lines in between the pink shape that reminds me of a half a heart and then followed by the light purple narrow rectangle and then in curved and slightly folded green shapes with the smaller triangles underneath. I look forward to seeing this fantastic collage in person.

The red/orange/yellow/ little touch of pink flowers really are just so full of joy and remind me of fields of poppies and beautiful spring and summer blossoms. The butterflies add a special touch and the line drawing stands out in the middle so well.
