Hey, Sereya! I thought you were afraid of spiders? Well, you sure know what they look like! It looks almost alive!! I love that you have some leaves there for your spider to eat and a spider web where it can catch all those pesky ants!

Sereya, I like how the red-pink and greens colors stands out against the darkness of the bug and the whiteness of the page. I also really appreciate the angle of where you placed the bug (spider?) and the net.

You must have been looking in a mirror when you drew this! Everything is so accurate - right down to the blue eyes & blonde hair! I especially love how you drew a picture of rainbow next to your heart.

I was amazed at the level of detain in your self-portrait. The realistic lines in the lips shows a keen eye for detail. I particularly appreciate the love emanating from you in the form of hearts.

I was thinking the asymmetric hairstyle was a very accurate representation of your hair, and then I thought: "wait a minute.... Sereya shaved the LEFT side of her head, not the right!" I'm also wondering: are the hearts turquoise, teal, aquamarine, seafoam, pool, or some other shade of blue? This is a good question for you and your art teacher to explore... or maybe for you and Grandma Blanche to discuss? Either way I love this beautiful mixed-media self-portrait. And I love you, too! Mom
