Ellie: Excellent interpretation of WayneThiebaub's ice cream cones. Simple yet colorful. The shading of the ice cream shows exactly where the light source is coming from and realism to your piece. I noticed you decorated the cones with some of your favorite things which makes your art unique.

Ellie: Your artwork of a heart in a landscape reminds me of Jim Dines and what he is famous for. I interpret your piece for the love of life, your sister, your pets and the parents you have. The boldness of the heart you drew using shading in addition to the strong red of your heart brings the viewer into your artwork and thoughts. That is what a good artist does. Great rendition!

Ellie: Your soda can design is well balance and bold. The brand name stands out against a white background. The bubbles possibly represent the flavor such as cherry flavor.

Ellie: Your watercolor illustrates a humorous side of a very cool turkey in sunglasses, wearing a scarf to keep warm, and a hairdo of curly locks. The placement of dots on the exterior of the feathers is an interesting accent to the turkey's feathers and definitely shows the turkey is dressed to impress at the Thanksgiving Day table.

Ellie: Your sense of humor came thru by deciding to make a walking haunted house! The use of shadow in the clouds and moon adds to the spookiness of your Halloween scene, The leafless tree and bush frame the haunted house very well and enhances the detailed haunted house as the focal point. Great project!

Ellie: Very nice sandcastle illustrating it in a dimensional art project. I like how you placed a right tower and a left tower giving proportion of height between the bridge/wall of the castle. The outlook towers in the back right gives a sense of depth castle. Good job!

Ellie: Great effort illustrating Johua Trees in your desert landscape using the art technique of a one point perspective. You have a vanishing point, which gives your landscape dimension. The Joshua Trees are lined up and placed on a horizonal line from large to small illustrating distance. The other cactuses that you drew and colored gives, in the same one point perspective, interest to your piece.

Ellie: You crafted some great pottery pieces. Fantastic effort on the yellow pedals of the sunflower. Folding of the pedals with line creases adds a very realistic look and dimension. Indentation of the seed pods in shades of brown as depth. Not to waste any clay, the little odds and ends you made are very imaginative.

But the one that makes me giggle is the snowman that is wearing the raindeer hat and is very creative. Also, each snowman has a special nose....is it a carrot nose, a stick nose, or a potatoe nose? It looks like you had fun creating your snowman trio. Great job!

Job well done using brilliant colors in the wing design. The background, that you created, makes the butterfly appear, to me, ready to flutter off the paper to someone's flower garden. Good Job!

Ellie your watercolor project of a cup of hot chocolate looks so inviting. It nicely suggests to the viewer that maybe it would be a good idea to have a hot cup of chocolate on a cold winter's day. How wonderful to include the melting of marsh mellows, a colorful straw as a stir stick and the cup of hot chocolate placed on a festive checkered tablecloth. Good job!

Ellie you did an excellent job on your biography portrait. Tracing is a skill. Your effort to be precise while following the lines from the folds of your subject's blouse and shawl makes her clothing look 3 dimensional. The variations and shades of color you placed from your subject's skirt adds to your attempt to capture dimension. Illustrating shadow on your subjects face is excellent because it shows how light varies the color of skin. Great effort in tracing off of a picture.
