You have long ago surpassed hour grandfather's artistic skills. However, he will always remain excited to see and READ about your efforts. Your description of wash/wash and blending colors demonstrates a growing understanding of artistic methods that is instructive to me. Too bad your cribbage skills haven't grown as well :)

Keep up the good work.

I gave a lot of thought to the bubble lines especially as they overlap, but the lines remain clear. Your discussion of the piece is spot on. I see growth with every new posting which pleases this old man. It's about time for some feet:)

Have you been listening to the song "I'm just blowing bubbles in my beer?" It is interesting to see you kept the lines for each bubble rather than erase the underlying lines. Once again I enjoy getting to see your effort. How about a toe themed work?

Who else is the "we" that you use in your description? I also noticed that the swing doesn't compare to the cottage:) I do like the subtle ground coloring and birds. I have never heard of water color crayons. Glad to see you stretching your artistic skills!

I am again impressed with you creativity. Shadows, shading, light, dark are all important elements. Keep up the great work and what was the piece they selected for the show? Is this it?

A tropical scene in March makes me want to be on the beach in Maine. I also saw a clay tabby cat that was pretty cool. I am glad you get a chance to work with different mediums and make art as I think that is important as well as fun. Keep up the good work!

This is nicely done! Love the color (of course), but it also makes me happy with the smiling flower and as I imagine music playing in the background. :-)

Hi Zoe, You really captured a sunny day! The bright and bold colors that you chose really pop out and make me feel happy, just like a sunny day. I see you included your cat. I remember that you are very fond of your pet cat.

Zoe, I love your use of color! You used so many wonderful bright shades of color. I am also amazed by all the details in your picture. The kitten and butterfly are my favorite part!
