Hi Owen. This is a wonderful piece. I love painting and drawing buildings also. By using just white against that dark blue background I think you really captured the feeling of winter and night time. It has a homey feeling. If you are interested I have something called scratch board that you may enjoy working on. Next time I see you I will make sure you get it. This is defiantly one of my favorites along with the Angry Sea! I can’t tell you how proud I am of your very creative artwork! Sometimes I wonder how much of this is you and how much is inspired via your heart? Only God knows!

This one makes me think of an angry sea. It is pretty moody and mysterious. All of the black shapes look like they are being swept up by a huge wave. Don't know if you intended that but sometimes things just happen in art and it is up to the viewers interpretation. Nice job. Love, A.Chris

So I'm wondering are the oval shapes collaged on? Interesting shapes. I would extend some of the black lines over the top of the ovals. Love the contrast between the solid black lines and the oval colored shapes. You are on a roll. Love you, A.Chris

Hi Owen, I dont know how I missed seeing this. What a great idea having that soft backgroud contrasted with the hard lines of the butterfly. I think of butterflies as being soft but you reversed that idea giving yours a hard edge. I am so happy you are enjoying creating art. Love you. A. Chris

Hi Owen! This is one my favorite paintings, I really enjoy I it a lot. It reminds me of when I sailed the Atlantic Ocean from the Azores to Luctudy France in a 30 ft African Mahogany sailboat. Keep up the good work!

Hi Owen, it's aunt Chris. So I am wondering about your inspiration for this piece? I see what looks like a bridge in the background. Mackinaw bridge? It's an interesting composition. You chose to divide the paper in half horizontally. You also chose to put most of your activity on the left side. As a consequence, the red vertical pole on the right side becomes an anchor and very important to balance this composition. Is there a title for it? I also agree with the other comments made by your fans. Nice job.

hi Owen, It's A. Chris. Well this is an interesting piece. I am wondering if the strong diagonal in this painting has a particular significance. It certainly adds visual interest as well as your use of strong bold colors. Diagonals in a painting usually add some tension. This looks to me like an abstracted landscape. It is your interpretation. Did you do this from your head or were you looking at a photo? All in all it is a really strong bold piece of art. How big is it? What medium did you use to make the colors? Paint? Crayons? Markers? The diagonal also gives some depth to your piece. I see some buildings on the side of a hill in the foreground and a tree and maybe a field in the background. thanks for sharing this. You got me thinking.

So Owen, This is an interesting snowman. Why? Because you filled the whole page with him so he is definitely the main foal point in this piece. Your background gives movement to the piece and you took some artistic license with making the snowflakes blue. I like that. The arms definitely look like branches and I like the way you did the ground and it looks like snow drifts. I have one question, are those H's on the buttons on the middle snow ball? Hi Owen, this is an interesting piece. I thought it was based on stained glass but then I saw it is based on Mary Blairs' artwork. I really like her work and was not aware of her until I saw this. Thank you for introducing me to an artist I did not know about. The patterns and colors in your piece are outstanding. It is a wonderful thing to be able to create art and inspiration comes from all kinds of places.

Hi Owen, I know this is an older piece but I have to say it makes me smile when I see it. Uncle Andy and and myself have 3 cats and the expression on this cats face reminds me of them sometimes when they get on each other nerve. I am wondering why you chose to put the brown diagonal lines in this painting? They are definitely pointing toward the cat. Keep up the good work. I love seeing your art work.
