I love the contrast of the light blue layered over the other colors. This reminds me of an eye spy image!

This is a really cool piece! You did a great job with everything especially the shading. My first thought was WOW - this looks like a teenager!!

Another piece that really shows you have great visual perception of your facial characteristics. Then with the shading and brush strokes, one actually can see the face and feel the texture of the shirt. Can hardly wait for your next work of art!

Your artwork really gets us to see the perspective of where the light is originating as well as thinking how the colors convey sunny skies from the top to water and land, mountains and valleys below.

Your shading of the fruits is terrific! It’s so wonderful that in second grade you are learning about shadows and how they affect coloring.

Kai - this painting again shows your feel for the dark and deeper tones contrasting with the lighter pastel colors. You placed a dark form within the lighter colors and a lighter form against the darker ones. Then you used so many different forms that made us think of nature - rainbow, clouds, waterfalls, etc. Well done!

Perhaps I should say sunsets because the oranges and yellows and pinks really were spectacular!

Makes me remember our sunrises in HI over the ocean!
