What a lovely mandala. I hope it brought you focus and calm as you worked on it. The bird in the middle looks very peaceful in the midst of the intricate design. I'm so happy to be able to see the wide varieties of mediums that you're exploring here. All of the pieces represent a lot of time, focus, and dedication! Thanks for sharing

What a clever use of quilling - to create parts of the dolphin and the underwater sea world! I've not seen this done before. And the repeating stripes effectively give some brightness to the figure and contrast to the blue background. This dolphin seems happy to playfully display its unusual pattern. Very clever, Bridget, and well worth your effort! Love, Nana xxoo

I just love this piece! I love how the stripes and colors pop amongst the blue water background. The paper quilling is beautiful too.

This weaving was just beautiful. I loved the color combination and the vibrancy of the lights against the darks. I also loved how you covered the edges with tape and then decorated them. Fantastic!

I can see why you are happy with this piece! I love the colors and movement of the background and the way the silhouette pops out. I have enjoyed all your works of art during middle school, congrats!

I love this portrait of you Bridget! You captured your joyful nature with that big, bright smile and happy eyes. Your hair is on point and it’s so fitting you are at the beach. Well done!

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers because the are so beautiful, big and full of petals. You really captured the layers and fullness here. I liked the symmetry of your leaves too. Beautiful!

I loved your use of similar colors but in different patterns, it really brought interest to the whole scene. I also liked the way you shaded the color of the sky. Such a beautiful, peaceful scene.

I love these awards! You are lucky to have two such incredible teachers who have made what could have been a challenging year of learning fun and interesting. I like the way you folded the paper to give some dimes to the award as well as the colors.

This is one of my favorite pieces Bridget. I love the shades of color and the way the petals curl to look like real 3 dimensional roses. Beautiful!

This polar bear certainly looks happy and festive. I think you used your hand to create the body which is a neat technique. I love it!

You worked so hard on this Bridget and it came out fantastic. You do always have a sunny outlook (especially though this pandemic) and spread sunshine to others.

I also love the way the water flows through your scene. This Nessie looks a lot less scary than the ones from stories. I love your scenery. Nice work!

Your trio of roses delight us in their color and composition - so well photographed to emphasize their beauty and craftsmanship! It's hard you believe you actually rolled each petal of various shades and assembled them to produce such an accurate resemblance of a rose. I think I could even smell its fragrance! Each rose truly is a work of art, Bridget Rose, and so worthy of your namesake. Thank you for your efforts and artistic prowess! Love, Nana xxoo

You so accurately imitated the self-portrait of this famous female Italian painter, who was born in Cremona, Italy in 1532. You got all the elements just right including her delicate hand, clothing, position, and even the dark background! Anyone familiar with Sofonisba would know right away who you are. I was impressed to learn she communicated with Michelangelo - wow! Fun to see you exhibit a bit of your Italian heritage! Thanks, Bridget! Love, Nana xxoo

Three hot air balloons quietly drift across the fair weather skies. I think the people are crouched in each basket being drawn over the landscape. Beautiful patterns reminiscent of rainbows cheerfully color the sky. Such a peaceful and "uplifting" drawing! Thank you, Bridget, for taking us on this ride! Love, Nana xxoo

What a beautiful and full, newly unfolded peony, accented in every direction by its leaf branches. The green is such a nice contrast to the pink peony and its pink background. It is soft and relaxing, yet alive and growing at each corner. Its many petals reveal this peony's glory. Thanks for trying a new technique, Bridget! Love, Nana xxoo

You really succeeded with this piece, Bridget, especially with the technique! Practice makes perfect! Edged with a dark border with light colors graduating into dark, it pulls my eyes into the center and gives me a number of interpretations. I also love your choice of colors, which are just right for the effect! Well done, Bridget! Love, Nana xxoo

What a happy collection of spring flowers! Just what we need this time of year. I love how you individualized each flower with its own color and unique pattern! I think I can even name most of them, because of your really good rendition of each one. You alternated the flowers nicely and set them in front of a colorful springtime sky. This really is a "feel good" piece of art! Thanks, Bridget! Love, Nana xxoo

So serene. A perfect setting on calm seas for a sunset sail! So much beautiful radiance in the subtle striations of layered color in the sky. This lighthouse is forever stable on its strong seawall. Bathed in these smooth and lush colors, I feel relaxed. Wishing you always, Bridget, smooth sailing and a lighthouse to light your way home. Love, Nana xxoo

Bridget, I like your color palate too and your choice of alternating colors. Glad to hear that you persisted, because your final product is terrific! The shape and colors remind me a bit of the state flag of New Mexico. Love, Nana xxoo

I love your BRIDGET, Bridget! It, so colorful and fun!! XO Love, Mom

How colorful, bright, and happy! Bridget did a great job painting the stripped background that did not interfere with the strong block letters of her name in graduated colors. Amazing how she kept them separate! And it all is punctuated by those many multi-colored circles. This piece of art makes you feel good! I love it! Nana xxoo

Bridget, What a great aquarium you've created for this lucky fish! I especially like the texture of the water and the colorful environment. The heavy black lines help ground the tank and give it some perspective, as it sits on the brown base. It must have been fun working with this medium! Well done! Thanks so much for sharing! Love, Nana xxoo
