Tuck, the simplicity of your composition is surprisingly effective; it works quite well. I can imagine the effort was put in on the rendering of Saturn but the stars are equally good… and because this is Baba aren’t you glad you didn’t have to paint your Uranus…

Hi, Tuck! I'm so happy your teacher is posting your work on Artsonia. I'm always excited to see what you're working on. This piece is striking! Saturn, right? (I think a couple of other planets have rings, too, but Saturn popped into my mind first!) Anyhow, artistically speaking, I love the shading from center to edges, and the night sky is super cool. You've got talent, kiddo! Keep up the great work! Love you bunches!

Tucky, an absolutely exquisite landscape. the thinning down of the blues with water next to the pronounced line worked. just really neat Tuckman. you nailed this assignment. baba

This is beautiful, Tuck! The colors are so warm and inviting. If this were a real place, I'd want to go there! Keep up the great work! Love you!

Tuckman, I literally did a doubletake when I opened up your email. I immediately thought of a birds eye view of skyscrapers built into a jellyfish... which might be a little too much Jefferson Airplane. Good treatment of perspective. Baba

Wow, Tuck! This piece is both fascinating and very cool. I can't believe how perfect your perspective is on each and every shape. I could NEVER get that right when I was in art class. Ever! I like your color combination, too, and the black-and-white checkerboard background sets everything off so well. Great job! Keep up the good work! Love you!

Oh, Tuck! I absolutely love your Christmas tree! It's abstract, linear, and colorful, but it's still so easy to tell what it is. I'm so glad your teacher is posting your artwork on Artsonia. It's awesome to see your creativity in action. Great job! (and can't wait til Christmas!) Love, Grammie

Tuckman, Finally!!!! I have missed your artwork but the wait was worth it. This work is like a cubist stained glass window and of course, the fuchsia in the corner was perfect. nicely done Tuck Baba

Hi, Tuck! Wow! Your spherical op art is amazing! I honestly can't figure out how you did it. It's so precise and complex! I miss you a bunch and really want to talk to you about this piece of artwork. It's fascinating! Love you!

Tucky, you nailed that project. I had the same assignment in design class at Purdue... and yours I think came out better. Good job. Baba

Hi, Tuck! Love, love, love your candy cane! The colors and shape are great, and the perspective is really cool! Your timing is perfect as well -- Christmas! Can't wait to see you! Love you much!

Tuckman, you have taken such a simple subject, a candy cane, and given it motion and substance. it seems to lean toward the viewer. well done, Tucky in capturing its depth. i have really missed seeing your work. Baba

Tucky, your kitty has the same look that Mimi has when she is getting ready to do something bad... Loooooooove the fuchsia. Baba

OK, Tuck! Gramps is always asking me what I want for Mother's Day. This year, I know just what I'm going to tell him: I want a mug with this kitty on it! It's absolutely ADORABLE!!! First of all, it looks exactly like a kitty -- kind of like Emmie but with pink stripes instead of light gray! Plus it has such a sweet face and looks really cuddly! Can you tell this is one of my favorites ever? Great job, Tuck! Love your art and love you!

Tuckman, you have no idea how much I have missed your artwork. This "quilt" is a terrific presentation of warm and cool; especially the technique rendered behind the squares. Coincidentally, this piece has helped me determine how to finish a soldier I am painting for one of Mimi's friend. This work is just too neat. Baba

Hi, Tuck! Gramps and I love your weaving! The colors are beautiful and really are "warm" and "cool." I wish I could buy placemats that look just like that! Keep up the great work! Love and miss you!

Tuckman, one of the main things of "art" is to make the viewer think after looking at the work. And I have thought about this piece for several weeks now because it made me so happy. The other thing I thought about is that if you turned the banana sideways and down it could be a portrait of Jimmy Durante... Baba

That is AWESOME, Tuck! Gramps and I both love this guy! (And he looks delicious -- well, except maybe for the raw garlic! We'd have to cook that first!) Love the colors and your creativity. The "hair" really made us smile! Great job! Love and miss you! Grammie (and Gramps!)

Tucky, how wonderfully whimsical your creatures are! It's either the bee or the smiling mouse in the corner is my favorite... probably the mouse. I have missed seeing your artwork. Baba

Well, that's adorable! You and your thumb did a great job! Gramps and I absolutely LOVE your critters. I think the bumblebee and the caterpillar (is he a very hungry caterpillar?!) are my favorites. The broken line showing the bee's flight path is really clever, too! Super job, Tuck! Love you bunches! Grammie and Gramps

Tuckman, your quilt just gave me joy... even before my coffee and first steam of the day. I especially liked the red bird and the tail on the pig. What a terrifically fun piece of art. Baba

Tuck, your quilt is awesome! Your picture is so bright and happy with so many happy things: trees, flowers, animals, clouds, sun, a rainbow, and a smiling little boy -- perfect! I love the fabric you chose for your quilt, too -- really cool colors and textures. I'd like to sew it all together for you. I could even copy your picture onto cloth and sew it in, too! We'll have to talk about that. Looking forward to seeing you on Friday! Love,

Hi, Tuck! Wow! Gramps and I love your ornaments. The colors are awesome, and your pine branch looks real. Snowflakes are the perfect touch, too! We wish we could hang those ornaments on our tree for real! Can't wait to see you! Love and hugs,

Tucky, excellent use of the primary and secondary color palette. The snow treatment actually made me shiver. Baba

Hi, Tuck! I saw your "Crazy Hair" picture first thing this morning, and it made me smile. Your person really does have crazy hair and looks so happy! The colors and designs are perfect -- and tall! Getting through doorways might be a problem! Love, love, love this artwork and love you even more! Hugs, Grammie
