Owen, this is the coolest but how was it created? It looks a little like block print. I love the sense of movement it gives. Good work!

I feel like sitting down and enjoying that scrumptious dessert platter! What fun food pop art! You are clever, O! Love, Mom
- on June 24, 2009
Wow, Owen! This looks good enough to eat. That cupcake looks especially scrumptious with all the creamy frosting on the top. It reminds me of a Gingerbread Construction Company cupcake. Have you ever had one of those? If not, they are worth a try! There is a bakery in Wakefield, MA right off of route 95 (tell your mom!) I like how you decorated the plate too, and set the table. Great work! Enjoy these last days of school : ) Love, Aunt Dori

Owen, This work is so imaginative and complex. It seems to suggest the many moods and experiences we have as human beings. I like how you have the peace signs coming off the guy with the blue and green face. It is also interesting how you gave him two types of hair. The detail on the middle guy is very well done, right down to the two colored check shirts. The colors are vibrant, and the subject really makes me think and wonder. I like that about art. Great job, Owen. Nice to see you at yesterday's parade. Love, Aunt Dori

What a cool tank full of treasures, Owen! Is that Deborah swimming in the back left corner? Lillie's fish, Raspberry, would love to take a swim in this aquarium! xo, Mom
- on June 16, 2009
Wow, Owen! This aquarium looks totally three-dimensional. It has such depth and movement, I feel like I"m looking at the real thing! I like the way you used different colors in the water to show the rays of sun shining through at the top layers, and I like how the coral or beach grass is swaying with the waves. Well done! I hope you are enjoying these last few days of school. Keep up the great art work! Love, Aunt Dori

Owen, I LOVE the detail in this rain forest collage! I can see a macaw or a quetzal in the coconut tree, a monkey hanging out having a great time, a beautiful sunset and a jaguar-like animal lurking in the bushes. The texturized look that you have created by using different types of paper and varied colors really make the Rain Forest seem alive! Great work! Love, Aunt Dori

"O"....I love this piece. We are studying early native americans here in the southern California area and this too looks dry and warm like it is here. The warm colors are perfect to help everyone get through a very cold eastern winter. I wouldn't mind having this original hanging in my livingroom! Love you godson, Deborah

Dear Owen, I love your work here! I love the way the snow people feel so connected and happy together and the way that their joy and unity are juxtaposed with the more isolated trees in the background. And I love the way the trees are so different from each other in the ways they seem to be, in their own strong ways, waiting for spring to come and bring them their leaves once again! I love you! Cousin Sarah
